  • The Amsterdam Dungeon is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the city, so be prepared for 10-20 minutes straight before entering. The entrance waiting for the executioner for a group photo (photos can be picked up at the exit to an extra cost of course) and then the journey begins. I had high expectations but I came out partly disappointed. The actors tend to involve you in the sketch "scary" but if you've exceeded the 20 years will seem only of vignettes. Some sketches more capable than the others (actors). I would recommend it to the curious, the straconsiglierei for families with kids. The price is equivalent to 18 euros per adult. The tour lasts for 60-80 minutes, after all is not bad but if you have less than 3 days to visit the city I'd jump to focus on a museum or a different experience.

  • We stood in the que for what felt like ages and then at the till the guy said we could pay an extra €3 for an extra show at the end as a special bonus. Me and my partner were unsure but we payed it an...  more »
  • Have only one word for it: Wow! Really a fantastic experience. We had tickets won through Holiday auctions and did not know well what to expect. But we were very pleasantly surprised! The actors were really incredibly well and continued whatever happened or was said in their role, chapeau! Not very very creepy but we are still very hard some times startled. A good alternation between humor and shudder. It is told in a fun way more about the gruesome by the Dungeons and surprises came from every corner. Very good value for money.

  • Fun place. Kinda explains how Amsterdam was in the past (not that much), but the acts are good and fun. They interact well with the audience. If you don't like to be picked then this is no place for you. I see in other reviews people say they have no respect and such because they get mad when you touch them or touch some stuff. But they tell you before you actually start to turn off your phone and not to touch the people or the stuff. Overall good experience of 90 min of fun if you ask me :)
  • A very cool experience with great actors! Don't research what will happen before you walk in, just enter with an open mind! And remember don't trust anyone...
  • Felt good at the beginning. But, for some reason, it got bored after a while. May be it's just for me. It was like a drama and they made us feel like we were in on it. Nonetheless, actors did pretty good job by jump-scaring the audience time to time. It would take like 40 minutes and taking photographs and using mobiles are not permitted inside the dungeon.
  • Few scenes from dutch history presented as separate rooms, mostly focusing on colonial ages. They think they are funny with their presentations... but they are not... After all it's a good way to spend some time.
  • To be honest, I didn't expect too much of it - things like this aren't usually 'my thing' - but I had a lot of fun! Well acted, nice scenery, great costumes. I do feel the people manning the photo booth could be a bit less pushy, but they weren't so bad that it merits deducting a star. Also, I was with a big group of colleagues, which is probably more fun than being with a group of strangers. Still, I had a blast!
