The Amstel, Amsterdam
(4.6/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Take advantage of great photo backdrops from one of Amsterdam's historic bridges, go for a stroll or a bike ride by the water, or have a coffee at a riverside cafe. No matter your choice, you'll never be too far away from The Amstel. The river is the soul of the city, and along with multiple canals, it greatly influences the city's layout and gives it its distinctive look and atmosphere. A dam on the river gave Amsterdam its name. Residents and visitors flock to the river these days for many different events, such as the annual Liberation Day concert, rowing races, and the Canal Parade. Take a boat tour for one of the most popular ways to experience the river. • The Amstel flows from Amsterdam South all the way to the city centre in. Gorgeous wide Canal, with beautiful buildings on either side.

  • Swept on this and other channels. You can do it once, that would be easy to understand and compare what it is. To stroll along the canals of St. Petersburg just before another planet. And when the Guide says that these channels are the most beautiful, he probably had not seen anything more beautiful.

  • The Amstel River should be a special section of your water tour if you go on a tour boat. We chose a small boat that also toured leisurely through many of the canals as well as the Amstel River. From ...  more »
