  • Great neighborhood, beautiful park, mysterious Lake sloterplas in fog or with red setting sun with a great beach. Very nice for families with children! Close to the cultural events of the city! Definitely a must!

  • Right behind the biggest Rembrandtpark, Sloter has the distinction of not being very extensive but to have one of the largest lakes citizens who definitely in summer turns into oasis of recreation. In winter quite little frequented.

  • Nice park on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Therefore not that touristy then the other parks. A lot of locals. Neighborhood is a bit dodgy, so expect some usual suspects. Attended the Loveland Festival h...  more »

  • Sloterpark, in the west of Amsterdam and slightly off the beaten track, is a big green space with a lot of winding paths and a beautiful lake. It attracts a very diverse crowd, but thanks to its size one can easily find a piece of solitude even on those rare sunny days. There is an outdoor swimming pool, a petting farm and an adventure-style playground that makes younger folks feel like Indiana Jones for a moment. The park hosts two festivals: Loveland, the biggest dance music event in the area, and Mystic Garden Festival, which is slightly more flamboyant and is known for its approach to production. Did I mention rabbits? There are everywhere.
  • This big park with a nice lake might be one of the most under estimated places in Amsterdam. It offers places to run, eat, swim, sail, hike, sun and picnic. Great place. Also fishing is very nice there p
  • Perfect park to get lost in it. It's huge. The views to the lake are very beautiful and the ambient is perfect for a picnic or cycling. There are some rabbits and different kind of birds over there.
  • Pretty nice. Big. Lots is space. Not crowded.
  • A lovely outdoor space for a lovely summers walk. The lake is beautiful in the early morning or early evening and is a great place to watch the sunset especially on its own beech. A great place to come and watch the local wildlife too.
