The square and the statue represent Rembrandt, who lived in the area from 1639 to 1656. You'll see a bronze representation of "The Night Watch"--one of Rembrandt's most prominent works, and a 114 sq m (1,230 sq ft) LCD screen, which you can interact with through Bluetooth. The site has become famous over the years for its numerous bars and restaurants, and it's one of the liveliest nightlife locales and meeting places in the city.   • Nice small square with the statue of Rembrandt in the center. There was also an outdoor art market which was lovely. 
  • to do in a short time, in the midst of everything else! with the tram stops are easy to find. With the Amsterdam Card public transport are free

  • Not too wide, but lawn spreading Center in the statue of Rembrandt. Had quite some locals and tourists stroll around the break.
