Red Light District, Amsterdam

For a view into another world, explore the infamous Red Light District, named for its bright red brothel lights. Though these districts are known around the world for hosting (in this case, legal) prostitution, sex theaters, and sex shops, this particular area has become an incredibly popular tourist destination. Explore the city's De Wallen neighborhood, which is home to its oldest and largest red-light district. De Wallen has been a popular place for prostitution since the 13th century, when the Damrak became a harbor. Walk along the canal in the evening, take in the novel sights and signs, and notice the typical 14th-century Dutch architecture in this historical district. There can be sites in this area that are not appropriate for children. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Amsterdam holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Red Light District and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • The bad reputation of this neighborhood is no longer to do and you will have during your stay in Amsterdam. However, it is uncomfortable facing these women behind their windows. Depending on what you are looking for in Amsterdam to spend time will vary

  • Lots of smily people and relaxed armosphere. Vibrating night life, enjoyed it a lot - canals make the view great for sightseeing  more »
  • Red Light right in the heart of Amsterdam. Dam square is a region. He's the only one in the red room except that in women, Coffeshoplar, sex shop selling hemp-weed marijuana that is, sex museums and live sex shows are where theatres. Security measures are awesome! Channel length I suggest this özellkle night red Road
