  • What a fabulous job this lady has done, I have never seen so many activity centres for cats. They were huge. It was very clean and there were a lot of cats there. The cats were really happy and we pla...  more »

  • This is a boat that is also a cat shelter! According to the volunteer staff, the cats are ones that may need a bit more "socialization" or are hard to adopt for some other reason. The fact that the bo...  more »

  • If you love cats and happen to be in Amsterdam, don't miss this one. It's a floating cat-shelter! Entrance is free, or you could donate how much you feel like and the money would go to the cats. There are some cats that are permanently live here, so they are not adopted out, but they also have cats in cages that are looking for new home, so if you live in Amsterdam and want a cat, don't shop but adopt from here - I see some kittens as well. The opening hours might be limited, but that's because they don't want the cats to be upset as they just let people in without limitation. Most cats are docile and enjoy pets / attention but there is one (that we were warned not to touch) that is rather angry all the time.
  • More places like this should exist. This was such a pleasant surprise and experience for us.
  • I love this place so much !! Very very kind staff and the cutest kitties
  • Worth a visit if you love cats! Get plenty of cuddles (and some swipes mind you) and just general happiness out of being on a boat with cats
  • Catlovers, this is a must go to spot! Entrance is free, the cats are so cute and have their own charms. Remember they are cats which have been rescued, so naturally they are not the most friendly and cuddly. Respect their boundaries! Afterall, they meet A LOT of people every day. Don't expect to go there and have the cuddle session of your life. For that you may want to go to the cat Cafe Kattencafe Kopjes, further west! Still, a true cat lover will adore his place. Make sure to donate on your way out!
