  • It is located on Dam square, a tourist spot, full of people and pigeons. The square isn't that great, but because it is a tourist spot and the historical weight, worth knowing. Dam square has been the scene of several protests and riots. The Obelisk was erected as a tribute to the victims of the second world war. In day 4 of may of every year, representatives of the Royal family do a tribute in this square.

  • Not very beautiful monument located on the central square of Amsterdam with a lot of people so it's not the most interesting place of Amsterdam

  • The National Monument is located on the Dam and you can not miss, opposite the Palace. A must-see when visiting Amsterdam and also because it is always very busy. On 4 may, there will always be a commemoration ceremony held in honor of the victims of the second world war.

  • NIce monument in a big wide open space. Not somewhere to linger for long if you are worried about snipers.
  • Good place to meet for the free tours and also gather to socialize with your friends. Very central to the city easy to spot since it's by the Ferris wheel and all the rides.
  • Nice place. Look for the guys with the orange umbrella's. They are free Tour Guides!
  • One of the most and biggest meeting place. Lots and lots of bikes. The statue itself doesn't speak nothing to me but it has a symbolic value.
  • A good place to have a break during your trip in amsterdam. This square has a special ancient but yet modern feeling.
