National Monument reviews
On the van damm square opposite of the royal place is this tribute fallen for their country. Impressive but simple, white obelisk without much on it. Meeting place and more. more »
Sitting opposite of the Royal Palace in Dam Square sits the Monument. It is worth the walk up to and a quick picture. It really is part of the Square and anchors that end nicely more »
Just passed by from Damrak and stopover for pictures. A nice but small monument surrounding by other beautiful and famous architectures. Love its white plain color but didn't stay long due to... more »
An iconic point of interest for tourist visiting Amsterdam. It's the centre of all activities literally. You can go either your way towards the more uptown locations like the rjiks museum and other iconic places or take the other way and spoil yourself within the red light area, casinos, adult entertainment and the famous Amsterdam coffee shops.
When you get off Central Station in Amsterdam, just follow the mass of humanity going down the main drag and 5-7 minutes of walking down the street, will bring you to this monument. It's a great place as a meeting point and when I was there, had lots of teenagers and college-age people sitting on the steps. This is also the location where the free Amsterdam walking tours start.
The view was amazing! The national monument is just another of the many beauties of Amsterdam! Very easy to get distracted by the other monuments around, but the square itself is one the biggest.
Good place to rest when you are in the middle of the town. Even if it's Friday or Saturday you can still find place for You. Surrounded by many restaurants and pubs. Good place to grab a taxi in the evening. Monuments just for tourist who are interested of them
A place to meet up with friends. Or just relax and enjoy the sunshine. Or maybe enjoy some lekker food
