  • Of this place out several tours to foot that you let know different aspects of the city. The monument itself is not pretty but it is very original because it is not dedicated only to soldiers but to the civil victims of the war.

  • This monument is located in the central part of Dam square, in front of the Royal Palace and is a symbol of great value for the Dutch as it keeps the history of fallen soldiers during the nazi occupation. The monument, which has 22 m in height does not draw much attention, but constitutes a point of reference and meeting place in the city.

  • Monument on the Dam square on the East side is a second World War Veterans Memorial. Tower area is crowded with many people and had tourists shooting spot.

  • NIce monument in a big wide open space. Not somewhere to linger for long if you are worried about snipers.
  • Good place to meet for the free tours and also gather to socialize with your friends. Very central to the city easy to spot since it's by the Ferris wheel and all the rides.
  • Nice place. Look for the guys with the orange umbrella's. They are free Tour Guides!
  • One of the most and biggest meeting place. Lots and lots of bikes. The statue itself doesn't speak nothing to me but it has a symbolic value.
  • A good place to have a break during your trip in amsterdam. This square has a special ancient but yet modern feeling.
