Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Amsterdam

(4.6/5 based on 30 reviews on the web)
Catch a performance or simply view the modern architecture at Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, a concert hall for classic and contemporary music that also features regular art shows. Opened in 2005, this Danish-designed building with movable chairs and acclaimed acoustics imposes itself upon the waters of the IJ, offering a visual treat to spectators. The upper floor houses a computer-aided sound garden for children and there is a seafood restaurant from which you can take in the view of the IJ. Intensely lit at night, the building makes quite a spectacle in the dark with its reflection in the water. • The famous concert hall acoustics. I think there's nothing wrong with the missing remains of the landscape and architecture. We Say we were going to go to the concert but tickets sold out in 1 month ago when I found out that we didn't underestimate thinking its reputation başladıkAyrıca a note, most Jazz musicians prefer this salon

  • Very good acoustics and easy to reach. Listened to Baltic music performed by the Dutch Chamber Orchestra.

  • Easily accessible (by car), large Oosterdok parking garage is ideally located and cheap, about 500 m walk. Everything at the muziekgebouw aan 't IJ was fine. Two downsides: cloakroom was a chaos and it took very long, it was much too hot. For the rest, fine!

  • Love this place: the location, the view, the architecture,... You can enter for free inside the building to visit it and enjoy the view of central station and the eye. Outside you can also sit and chill when the weather is nice. And it is a great venue for music, they usually do a lot of interesting concerts. The program is usually more modern classical, electronic, jazz music.
  • A concert hall located on the eye. The architecture is breathtaking and the view is amazing. Worth visiting just even to have a drink in the bar and enjoy the sunset from the dock.
  • Beautiful architecture. Great acoustics. However the place is a bit too... clinical. Definitely missing some ambiance...
  • Been here on a Mogwai gig. Very spectacular venue, liked it very much
  • In the evening student make very nice concert
