Trip Planner: Europe / The Netherlands / North Holland Province / Amsterdam / Madame Tussauds Amsterdam
Meet replicas of your favorite celebrities and historical figures at Madame Tussauds Amsterdam. Based on the original museum in London, this museum features wax recreations of famous individuals from Elizabeth Taylor to Albert Einstein. If you are more interested in Dutch history, visit the Dutch Golden Age wax exhibit. Kids will love taking photos with their favorite stars, and teenagers will especially enjoy the multimedia zones, including a pop idols experience. View the world's largest animatronics' wax figurine, a replica of Claas Janszoon at 5 m (18 ft) tall, and take in city views from the top floor of the building. Madame Tussauds Amsterdam reviews
Expected more for the money we paid. It was nice but not so much inside. Not sure if this attraction worth of money. Also photos taken there are so expensive. Rip off unfortunately more »
Been here a really long time ago. With a friend. We loved getting on pictures with the popstars. Was a fun time on our visit to Amsterdam. more »
Visited here in May 2018, on a trip with college. The staff were really helpful in showing us where to go and what to do. There were staff around to help set scenes of what each celebrity would have..... more »
Very interesting and lots of themed areas. Some of the waxworks are a bit lacking but most are very realistic. They have wheelchair access for the different levels. Lots of photo ops with some more interactive stuff so it's great for kids. If you're not Dutch there's quite a few celebs you won't know though😅
It is an excellent outing with family if you are visiting Amsterdam. There are many wax statues of famous celebrities that have been nicely carved out and brought to life in this small place, which is just in the center of Amsterdam and hard to miss. There are also several activities for the kids such as they can dance with Charlie Chaplin in video, which they love a lot. Of course you will need lot of photos with you famous celebrities and might have to wait as some of them are very popular and might have many persons in front of you. There is a souvenir shop at the end. The staff members are nice and friendly. It is very crowded being in the center of the city.
Amazing place to spend time with your family while in Amsterdam. Wax figures of many celebrities are displayed there and overall it’s one great experience. There is also a gift shop so you can buy souvenirs when you finish the tour of the museum.
It was very funny! I was in the past also at Madame Tussauds from London and I can tell that in Amsterdam is more fun! Although it's small it has a lot of "celebrities" and is not so crowded as the one from London. The prices are a bit high in my opinion but a nice lady at the entrance gave us a voucher for a 25% discount which helped us deciding faster to go inside. Parking space?, no way you could find one easy in the area!!! So at best leave the car at home/hotel.
I just loved this place.. good for a 2 hour leisure ...better buy tickets online and not in counter as it is cheap in online by 5 Euros. Don't try to buy the hand wax model of ur own that is available for 10 euros...it didn't last long for 2 days ... All the pics u click u can take it for 20 euro as digital.. that's a good option...don't buy just a single photo which costs you 15 Euro... Have a good time guys... Cheers
