Kalverstraat, Amsterdam

(2/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
Shop to your heart's content at Kalverstraat, a popular commercial street filled with shops, bars, restaurants, and salons. The market's name reveals its original purpose, as a market for calves, until the 17th century. Browse clothing, bags, souvenirs, cards, and perfume. For a delicious snack, explore the many choices of ice cream. Some of the brands here include Waterstones, Boots, Forever 21, and H&M. The Dutch version of Monopoly actually features this street as one of its most expensive properties. • The most famous shopping street in Amsterdam with a very diverse range of shops. Something for everyone. Perfectly located and within walking distance of Central Station, the red light district, Canal belt, 9 streets and other tourist attractions.

  • According to many, this street The shopping street of Amsterdam. Lots of shopping chains are represented here. If you are looking for fun little and often interesting shops you have to be in the side streets. In the ' Kalverstraat ' lets you shop around but it's almost always busy, busy, busy!
