  • The place is definitely very nice (medieval style and illuminated with candles) and right in the Middle, then that is normal that the price would be high. Us 6 we took a bottle of wine, 1 appetizer each and a second upside we spent 50 € for person. However, meat is very good

  • My husband and I take all of our out of town visitors (mostly from America) here. It's a gorgeous, historic building, the food is lovely, and most of all, the service is some of the best in Amsterdam.
  • The Waag is a medieval building located in the Nieuwmarkt square. Dating back to the 15th century, during which was one of the entrance doors to Amsterdam (called "door of San Antonio"), which was part of the wall that surrounded the city. In 1614 was demolished the wall and settled in that place the Nieuwmarkt or new market square, adding a roof between the towers which gives it the appearance of a small castle. Currently works also there a restaurant to which spent to take only a coffee during a tour of the city to foot (was cold) and I liked much it decoration and it attention (although seeing the letter, them prices me seemed general very expensive as for a food full). However, it is worth for the particular environment.
