  • Today we walked home Marseille on the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam. The museum is located in two beautiful buildings. The garden was now not accessible but this seems to be. That's nice. After the door opened automatically (not wheelchair accessible), we arrived at the front desk. Pay = €8, or free with museum card holders. Friendly staff. Coat can in a locker. The property is of course out of two mansions, so (beautiful) steps and a little sneak-by. We were especially curious about Eddo Hartmann; photos and some videos of North Korea. It gives a separate image of Korea (you may there not free shooting). There is no piece of paper on the street. Especially the metro and large flats are reminiscent of Russia in ancient times. Great monuments, groups led by a guide the monuments. Also a short film. Especially the 360 degree video we found very nice. We had to ask to start this video down, because someone had for us on a wrong button pressed. You get a 360 gr glasses on your nose with earphone. It's also got a pretty long video and there is only one instance. But huge fun. Monuments, subway. Go see it. The photos of Ad van Denderen (Jerusalem Stone) of Israel are well worth it. We recognized the atmosphere not so (we've been there), we found the photos rather empty. But that's because they go about Rawabi, a newly built Palestinian city and about building vd wall in Nablus. Now that's a high wall. The pictures are very well made; artfully.

  • An almost surreal exhibition on North Korea visited. Except pictures there is also a short film with street scenes and propagandistic music and tv reports. Photographer Eddo Hartmann had permission of the Stalinist regime to do this but only under strict permanent guidance of 2 State guides. Seems like another planet with all those drab empty streets. Must for the enthusiast!

  • Huis Marseille was an amazing find. I was looking for something different and an exhibit, Jerusalem Stone caught my eye. Entry fee was beyond reasonable at 8 euro. The museum is small but laid out ove...  more »

  • It's a beautiful place that is almost never crowded. Great exhibitions! Much love🌹
  • Nice garden. Centrally located. Great to spend a Saturday afternoon here.
  • Nice place, no queues, nice exhibition (August 2017), friendly stuff. Good place to come in during a walk. It's good even if you are not photographer.
  • A well curated rotating series of exhibitions, often three photographers on display at a time. Good use of this 18th century house, but disabled people will be challenged.
  • Great art photography museum with a focus on narrative exhibits and experimental artists. Fantastic venue in two old canal townhouses.
