  • Sightseeing in Goa is always exploring something new and interesting. Never agree with the opinion that there is nothing to see in Goa. As nothing? A fascinating country, and see nothing? It does not happen. Every part of the State in its own unusual and totally different to others. We are elderly people and long trips we are difficult to master, so look for something so far not to go. Last year we went on a tour of the "wild nest"-paradise town high in the mountains in the jungle. This year we decided that an excellent option will walk through the beautiful river water on the so-called Houseboat (houseboat). Houseboat is a great way to get the most out of emotion and pleasure. This is a relaxing vacation on the water, in the comfort of your "mini hotel", where you can experience peace and see the flora and fauna of Goa, the possibility to fish, as close as possible to the natural nature. This is a wonderful vacation and a sea of impressions for a lifetime. I dreamed about this trip all year. Represented, as my husband and I together will sail on the beautiful river Chapora and how we get there happy. Happy we were there, indeed, but not together. It turned out that the boats on the two does not exist. We were promised a boat with three cabins. "Well, okay," we thought. But imagine our surprise when we saw 6 cabins and 12 people on the boat! Initially upset, but long experience is not in our character and we have begun to look to other tourists. In addition we had 10 people-foreigners-British, Finns, Germans. All very good, cheerful and good-natured people. We quickly found a common language. Drinking, joking and very pity that Misha with Tanya went with us. It would be a lot of fun. This tour offers two in Candolim-Tvoy "Goa" and "John's Boat Tours. We decided to buy a tour from the "your Goa". It's just that ...

  • It's a quaint little museum! Surprisingly, they had their materials even in Finnish - and that's a first. Not too expensive, and you get to see a houseboat from inside with some of its history detailed in posters etc. Service was also vert nice, which is not always the case in Netherlands. So that's a bonus! All in all, well worth a visit. You can occasionally get discounts from their website.
  • Cute little museum where you can learn about the boat itself as well as Amsterdam houseboat life. Pretty cheap to get in and quite small so you could do it in half an hour or less!
  • Very interesting place. Here you can see how living on a boat looks like. You will have impression that owners just left and be back in a minute.
  • Interesting little floating museum tells the story of these barges and what life was like working and living on one. A few short TV films were interesting as is the bedrooms inside. Will take you 20 to 30 minutes. Worth a visit.
  • Was pretty interesting, definitely worth a visit with an iamsterdam city card.
