  • Cafe is conveniently located, near the main shopping street. In Friday had a lot of people place a nice city view. Location with the two sides two tram stops away. Accordingly, close to all attractions.

  • The café is well worth a visit, as it is located in the Centre of Amsterdam, close to the Spui.

  • This is a typical bruin Café, cosy ambience in a central area of Amsterdam. We stopped here for a drink with beer and traditional Dutch bitterballen (croquettes), delicious! The prices are average. I recommend it as a stop regenerating:)

  • Very cool, but a bit touristy. Cafe Hoppe is always on my list of places to take people when they come to visit, but mostly for the historical novelty. This cafe has existed for over 300 years, which is super cool, and they have things like sand on the floor that they used to do back on the day (if you ask they will tell you that it used to be for people to be able to spit their chewing tobacco on the ground, and thus make it simple to clean up by simply sweeping away, though I don't think they would be very happy if you spit on the ground these days). Aside from all the historical novelty, the cafe itself has an odd layout, split between two house size buildings. It is almost always busy, for better or worse, but with a really good mix of tourists and locals. The staff is quite nice, though you can expect typical dutch service here. Their beer selection is pretty typical of a fair size cafe, as is their bar snacks menu. I have never had a sit down meal here, and I actually think it would be a bit awkward with how crowded it usually is, not to mention the tiny tables.
  • Great atmosphere. Good people and laid back friendly staff specially at the bar. Great piece of history. One of the oldest bars in Amsterdam. The floor covered in sand adds a nice touch.
  • Good bar for a drink with friends or colleagues. It's a classic bar where they value quality and service. Their personnel really shows this. Most people visiting have had high education and are between 25 and 40.
  • Nice selection of beers. Didn't eat but food lined good. Service could be a little faster.
  • Extremely narrow pub frequented by locals. Delicious meatballs.
