Great neighborhood with dutchs welcoming and friendly. The sidewalks are lined with pots of flowers, houses a children and barbecue, which already promises a good atmosphere. The canal edges are budding and there are plenty of ducks, water pulse, and other waterfowl. Great location to explore the city.

We came here for drinks before visiting the Microb Museum. The service was great and fast and the drinks reasonably priced.  more »

Last night at the Plantage in Amsterdam eaten.. Never been before and what a pleasant surprise. You're sitting there fine, a beautiful open space a bit to a large garden room/Conservatory, with views of Artis. The service is super friendly and tremendously helpful. The oysters eaten in advance, you can actually no building to fall, as restaurant but still it happens sometimes that you are ' kwak'oesters. These were fine. My table was very pleased with the ravioli with crayfish. As a main course baked snapper fillet, with pieces of octopus, mussels and fennel in a delicious sauce. (I also got a spoon to the what to soepigachtige spooning). Really very well done, the poon was super fresh (sometimes you get in restaurants fish in all a somewhat oily taste by oxidation) and the pieces of octopus were very tender. The Grüner Veltliner was fine and accompanied the whole well. Table mate had the catfish. To say are also very tasty. I think it is a must.

Good ok. Service was terrible. Got oysters after I ate them I saw little worms crawling around. I researched and realized this was harmless but brought it to my waiters attention just because other people may have reacted differently. The what I assume was the manager came over and explained that they cannot check each specific oyster to clean. Not apologetic at all also said he's seen it many times (I've never seen this). Offered me a piece of bread. I said no but I would like another glass of wine. 5 minutes later a waitress came over with a glass of water. I already had water in front of me. No one checked if we liked our food or wanted another drink. Waited 15 minutes after our plates were cleared. No one offered us anything. Had to grab the waiters attention for the bill. The waiter kept looking at my empty glass and then walking in the other direction. The space is beautiful and the food was good but the service left a bad taste in my mouth. Wouldn't come back

Very high quality food for a reasonable price.

Haven't eaten here but had a coffee and it's delightful. Under the trees on the terrace is a lovely little spot to relax, have a drink and enjoy being outside.

Super location, great food (Great chef Peter), great atmosphere. It looks and feels very posh, almost like you are in a French restaurant in Paris. Great for fancy dinners, or a bit simpler dinner/lunch. Reasonably priced. Not extremely kid friendly, but bring them anyways and they can play for hours in the square and water fountain on the square next to Artis. All within eye-sight!

Went for Valentine's day dinner, so expected it to be busy with rushed service. But I was pleasantly surprised to have a cosy private table, attentive staff and great food! I highly recommend the cod dish (skrei). Great for date night!
