Categories: Department Stores, Shopping
Located in Dam Square, de Bijenkorf is the flagship location of a Dutch chain of luxury department stores. The successful chain got its start in 1870 as a shop selling only yarn and ribbons. Now, it's expanded to 10 stores across the country. Shop high-end designers like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Burberry. Browse the six floors of clothing, footwear, bedding, furniture, jewelry, beauty products, and housewares. In front of the Dam square was the presence in a department store. Disappointed and luxury brands look nice, but others are accustomed to Japan's Department stores. However, veteran of Womenswear shop women fashion, has left its impression.show original
Das Kaufhaus im Stil eines KaDeWe oder Harrods. Alle Edelmarken sind vertreten. Wir sind öfters in der obersten Abteilung hängen geblieben. Dort gibt es sehr leckere frisch zubereitete Speisen. In the style of a KaDeWe or Harrods department store. All precious brands are represented. We have been often hang in the top division. Always busy in the weekends especially popular with tourist because of the immediate tax refund they offer in store. It's a high end department store, shop in shop concept. Because of the luxury brands and the tax refund many Asian tourist prefer shopping here. The building itself is old and being renovated at this moment. On the top floor they have a restaurant, popular for lunch.

The usual labels store. You get most of the big brands here. Sales offer good discounts. Mostly touristy. Nespresso store is no longer here and move to a new standalone store 15 mins walk away

Dishonest salesmen. Was offered a discount which was then halfed when I wanted to pay. Dont go.
The place in Amsterdam if you are looking for buying clothes, accessories, etc from good brands, this is the place to go. I feel that sometimes there is no enough staff to attend people, taking into account that you are suppose to be paying extra for good customer service.
Very nice high class department store, 10 mins walk from AMS central train station. May accumulate many receipts to one then get tax refund (up to 12~15%) in store.
