  • Justifiably crowded during summer, with minimalist menu, Excelent Vibe, a Must Know place in Amsterdam.
  • Very popular with the locals and self-service and shared tables makes it easy to get to know other beer aficionados. They close at 800 pm.
  • We went to the Heineken Museum and came to here. Success full, very good atmosphere and the best beers I've tried, liked to my paeja who doesn't drink beer. A shame that viajaramos with luggage in hand and not us we could bring a few.

  • Yeah, well the folks you order your beer or snacks from at the counter are not really all that friendly. But, that doesn’t diminish the charm of the place. I mean seriously. It’s a friggin windmill! How totally cool is that? And although I was on my own and had to really squeeze in with others on benches/picnic tables outside, that wound up being so perfect because it made it easier to naturally join in on conversations with the folks around me. Everyone was super friendly. Met locals. Chatted it up with fellow travelers. Got to share snacks with folks who offered theirs up. Awesome atmosphere. Lots of fun. Fantastic experience and great memories. Even got a tshirt. Yep, it was all that cool. Almost forgot about the beer! I got a flight and each one was great!!
  • Nice local brewery. Get in early if you want to do the tour. You can order a taster with 6 small glasses, to try more beers. Some of the beers are always on tap (Plzn, Natte, Zatte, IJWit and Columbus), but there are more on rotation
  • Excellent beers. Located under the largest windmill in Amsterdam. A bit out of the way so most tourists don't make it but well worth the trip! Not much to see on the tour and the guide wasn't too experienced but the reason you go is to get this excellent beer. You get one free beer with the price of the tour.
  • They make incredible beer with their special yeast. And this is a great location to enjoy, specially if the weather is nice. It has been recently renovated.
  • Mostly for tourists! Beer is just ok, certainly not the best you'll find in Amsterdam. But, the beer is some of the least expensive you'll find- around €2.80 per 33cl glass. They offer cheap snacks that are quick to prepare such as processed cheese cubes and chunks of cured meat heated in a toaster oven. Yeah, there's a windmill on top of the pub, but the inside features a drab 'concrete theme' that I think customers convince themselves is actually nice. I would recommend a different pub if you want the best Dutch and Belgian beers- and a more traditional European atmosphere.
