At Body Worlds, explore exhibits of real specimens of human bodies. Anatomically positioned in space, the presentations reveal the complexity, resilience, and vulnerability of the body. You will see translucent body slices, organs, and plastinates--remains that have been preserved and kept in positions that reflect daily activities, including playing the saxophone, riding a horse, and dancing. Since their first appearance in 1995, these controversial expositions have attracted 40 million visitors worldwide. Inspirock's itinerary builder makes planning a Amsterdam trip simple and quick.

  • I had heard of it often, especially on TV, then by chance I found in this city. It's a must see. Opens up a whole world of the human body.

  • Worth every bit of your money.. Want to understand happiness? This is the best place to visit. Do remember though, backpacks and big bags are not allowed so if possible leave them behind or keep them in the lockers provided. Audio aids are provided but even without it you'll be fine. Keep some extra cash to pick some souvenirs.
  • A fascinating way of looking at the human body, how to keep it healthy, and how that contributes to happiness and a balanced life. I'm a fitness instructor and loved the messaging throughout the experience. The bodies on display are carefully thought out from the poses they're in to the parts of the body that are exposed. You can view most pieces from 360 degrees. The audio guide adds further information and details, but there is a lot of information to take in even if you don't have the audio guide. All written information is offered in Dutch and English, which is nice. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Go through the experience at your own pace. We spent about an hour and a half to two hours there.
  • Amazing museum. Took me hours to go through it (I stopped to read every single display) and I kept learning cool stuff from beginning to end. Been my favorite of the museums I've visited here. Expensive entry, but well worth it. I should add a disclaimer that if you're the type of person who uses their religion to curtail women's reproductive rights this is NOT a museum you're going to want to visit as you will likely find two specific sections of it highly unpleasant.
  • Very educational. In my doctoral education I have participated in many human cadaver dissections. The skill and complexity in working the way they do to create this exhibit is phenomenal. I highly recommend this! Everyone should learn about the body they spend their lifetime in.
  • I expected more for the money but the exhibition was interesting, informative, and there was a lot to try for yourself. Explanations were easy to understand, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to pre-order your tickets. It wasn't too crowded the day we went but that way your quicker to start your adventure :)
