  • Excellent urban zoo well-worth the cost of admission! The monkey/bat/lizard house was a favorite to which we kept returning, and all the exhibits were well thought-out and interesting. The aquarium is fun, and there are plenty of different dining options. The playground over by the elephants was a huge hit for adults and kids. We will definitely return!
  • Surprisingly nice. Beautiful zoo with a lot of different animals. You can walk in some exhibits where small animals run free, like the smallest monkey species in the world, or another exhibit with butterflies flying around and occasionally landing on you. We really enjoyed the feeding time show with the sea lions. There was also some staff on site telling us and teaching us about the animals, which was very cool.
  • Amazing to have such a beautiful retreat in the middle of such a bustling city! Being from the U.S., we got a pretty good chuckle from the skunk and raccoon exhibits because they're quite a nuisance here, always having to chase them off the porch or garbage cans 😅 Funny to see my familiar little friends on display- They looked like little celebrities. Overall a wonderful experience.
  • Best zoo I have visited yet. Tons of different animals with an Aquarium, Insectarium, Mammals house, Butterfly house, etc. I came during light rain so there were not many people there and most animals were inside, but for most places you also get to look inside. I was also lucky to come during the feeding period so it was fun to watch the gorillas scavenge and take all the food for themselves. There are also open areas where you can enter with animals around you. The ARTIS employees are also very welcoming and extremely helpful. Overall an amazing experience.
  • What a beautiful and impressive zoo. Everything is well designed and the animals have lots of space. We especially enjoyed the small petting zoo for our three-year-old daughter, and the aquarium. Also, a truly amazing playground! Lots of places to eat and sit too, plus the mini pancakes are amazing. Easy to get around with a stroller.
