Amsterdam Roest, Amsterdam

4.2
Do a little bit of everything at Amsterdam Roest, an old steel factory that regularly hosts various events, many of which spill onto the street. Check the website for the latest happenings, which may be anything from food festivals to concerts. Even without something specific going on, the area merits a visit, with many restaurants and bars, plus a beach annex next to the canal. Children can enjoy the playground and sandpit while the adults relax on the benches. Put Amsterdam Roest at the forefront of your travel plans using our Amsterdam trip app .

  • The entire place is very authentic and gives a very industrial vibe. Their menu rotates every day, encouraging you to try out new things, but the friendly personnel always are willing to cater to any ...  more »
  • Our Airbnb host suggested this (her apartment was just on the other side of the bridge) & I’m so glad she did. We took the 5 minute walk over on Sunday afternoon and grabbed a drink. It was so cute in...  more »
  • In November, came here to enjoy the atmosphere, which is represented on the photo in the feedback, but there was no one person and everything was closed. Probably not this season. You need to go through some warehouses.

  • I normally don’t do bad reviews but I just payed €15 on a shrimp and sausage dish that came with only one shrimp and zero sausages. The dish also came with a lot of chicken but there is no chicken on the dish description on the menu. I took the dish back to the chicken thinking I got the wrong one, but they say it is correct...
  • Great hangout especially in the summer. Have a made up beach with water access. Kind of alternative hippie place with recycled material like built. Rotating events, concerts etc.
  • I go often to this place, kind service and good drinks, food perhaps less attractive. It's a place for all, young and less young, sometime families come over too with kids too although one would not expect that. Atmosphere is relaxed.
  • Funky vibe, with amazing array of beers. The menu looks short, however the quality, flavour and generous portion sizes make you want to eat it all again. The interior is decorated with old TV sets, bicycle wheels and the couches are to die for.
  • A great place to grab something to eat and have a meal. We shared a vegetable festival platter and it was amazing! Also a good option for vegans/vegetarians. The atmosphere is also great, with a DJ playing music and loads of picnic tables outside perfect for a summer night out.
