  • I spent 1.5 hours here before it closed. It was great experience here but if time allows I would like to stay longer since all the exhibitions are worthy of spending more time seeing slowly!! Meanwhile, you can feel they put a lot of effort setting up exhibitions. New technologies integrated very well with context and physical environmental setting up! Audio guide is free included in the ticket. You can enjoy here while shopping around!
  • This is one of my favorite museums in Amsterdam. I've been multiple times now, and am always impressed with the quality of the exhibits. The motion graphics do a great job and introducing you to Amsterdam's history in a brief film format that is easy to comprehend.
  • Very well presented modern museum with varied and fascinating exhibitions. A great place to begin a trip to Amsterdam. Get the audio guide, it's really good.
  • Simply one of our favorite museums, and a must for anyone who wishes to learn more about how Amsterdam citizens actually created the very land they built their city upon. Their ongoing reclamation process is fascinating! There is so many much there to digest, that we could not take it all in in only one day.
  • I felt the museum was small and didn't really have a lot of exhibits. Many of the video lessons last a minute at best. I would have loved to see some detail about the founding of New Amsterdam, Tulip Mania, or even the details about building dikes. I'm sure Amsterdam has a far richer and deeper history than the glossing over at this Museum.
