  • Very interesting this museum tucked away in the Old town of Amsterdam. It explains the history of the city since ancient times. you are a very well-planned audioguide that begins to explain each time that you close it to one of the different points of the Museum. I was glad much of having entered and I recommend it to all the visitors of this city, to get an idea about the origins, past, present and future of Amsterdam.

  • If you spend only a couple of days in Amsterdam and would like to know it better, than this is the right place to be. It has a short version (can take 1.5 hrs) and a longer route followed by the first (can be up to 3.5 - 4 hrs) which explains Amsterdam in dept. The shorter part of the museum is very well organised but the 2nd part is too hectic if you try to follow the exhibition in chronological order.
  • It covers brief history of Amsterdam. Nice place to visit if you are interested in History of Amsterdam.
  • Didn't expect the museum to be so large on the inside. Extremely informative and interactive, with exhibits explaining the history of Holland, Amsterdam. Top floors are modern and old paintings. Can easily spend more than 3 hours here!
  • Interesting to visit. Spent a couple of hours here and felt like I saw most exhibits. Gives a good history of Amsterdam. Would recommend if you want a few hours in a museum that isn't too intense. You also get a free audio guide which is good.
  • Fantastic immersive introduction to the history of Amsterdam. Tasty food at the café too.
