  • Well worth visiting. A wide range of topics covered from the development of Schiphol airport to 17th century Dutch Naval Victories. Museum's restaurant served good light lunches.
  • We arrived early on Saturday and took advantage of the lack of other people to really enjoy this museum. The DNA of Amsterdam in particular was excellent with the information easy to absorb and the te...  read more »
  • At this time, there is an exhibition on 100 years schiphol, this is very nice done. interactive and educational for children. The small orphanage found our children also very interesting, in each subject they got something to hear, and they got it. The rest of the museum was also very nice and neat.

  • Didn't expect the museum to be so large on the inside. Extremely informative and interactive, with exhibits explaining the history of Holland, Amsterdam. Top floors are modern and old paintings. Can easily spend more than 3 hours here!
  • Not really worth it for $13 each. Expecting some artifacts or old photos. Didn't have much of either. Mostly just 1 minute videos that you walk around and watch. Very dim lighting inside (for the videos) so I came out yawning. Simply google "history of 'Amsterdam" and you'll learn 10x more.
  • Interesting museum where you can learn the history of Amsterdam. During ADE there are usually cool exhibitions relating to music or street art. Location is extremely easy to get to.
  • Amazing interactive experience with a friend! Rich city history revealed at every turn, makes me fall in love with it evermore - NYC Native
  • Was much larger than I expected. Spent two hours and still didn't make it through. The audio tour was free and offered additional narrative over the posted descriptions. Various types of media are used throughout the exhibits and the museum is laid out chronologically. There was no queue for entry and admission was free with the I Amsterdam City Card. There were plenty of people, but it definitely wasn't crowded.
