Het Beatles Museum, Alkmaar

4.4
Meet John, Paul, George, and Ringo at Het Beatles Museum, dedicated to probably the most popular band of the 20th century. Arguably the largest collection of Beatles items collected by a single person, the museum displays original band member clothing, albums, instruments, personal documents, toys, books, and comic books inspired by the four iconic musicians. Although the band never visited or played in this town, the local collector and die-hard fan Azing Moltmaker managed to compile a big collection of all things Beatles. The onsite store sells all kinds of Beatles merchandise, from books to bootleg CDs. • We took a great pleasure to visit this Museum, it seems the biggest Museum in the world on the Beatles. The owner has quite a collection, and here exposes only a part! The costumes worn on stage, gadgets, many album covers with all their variants. Explanatory panels on their career, records, their lives. A nice shop, with dvd, cd, t-shirts, accessories... The owner was present at the scene, and was inexhaustible on the subject. He has published many books very sharp on the subject, on sale at the shop, as well as a set of 4 dvd exclusively on sale (45)

  • A must for every music fan is the Beatles Museum in Alkmaar, this is a collection which comes from a private source. The owner/collector has collected about the Beatles in decades and put together what went in the market. It wanders through a contemporary history of the music that has shaped the world and is accompanied by the sounds of various Beatles songs. During my tour, I could more marvel at what I knew and have also an or whatever seen others to his own in his youth themselves was allowed to call. Just as it is in the one course of time changed to and much is giving away, not so here because here the history of the Beatles remains alive. The collector is looking forward to every visitor who shows interest in his collection, and it is very comfy to follow very impressive conversations with him. During a visit of Alkmaar, this Museum offers to since it also not is over.

  • Impressive collection of Beatles material and the intriguing "Paul is dead" fairytale.
  • Strange location for a Beatles museum, but a must visit for every Beatles fan. The friendly owner can tell you all there is to know about the collection.
  • Great colection.
  • For fans of the Beatles it's sure that it must be interesting if we speak English or Dutch very large collection. the owner is a passionate and very nice. the Museum is located in a space that is rather a hangar and therefore not necessarily friendly. The really interesting part is that traces the history of the Beatles, but as it is in English it's a little difficult for us to understand

  • It is a pity that there is at present still being built for the museum, but you notice there's nothing on the inside. The museum is big and very extended. The owner of the museum, has given us a tour. You could notice that everything this guy told from genuine passion was. All objects of the museum are actually part of his collection. There are even suits that the Beatles have worn and personally have donated to the museum. Also the written books of the owner have ever used in a lawsuit by the Beatles. There are rare items, but also foreign products. The museum is clearly laid out and there are also a lot of plates for sale! All in all, this museum worth a visit for only 4.50!
