  • Small private castle is situated in the town of s-Heerenberg, just a few kilometres from the border with Germany. I do not think that is worth specially to go to this place, but being nearby, visit the historic castle 12 century. It is very pleasant to stroll through the old streets, look at the remains of the Castle moat, see the monument, which in medieval times witch in Europe burned at the stake. The Castle has a café where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a snack. The castle is open for visiting of tourists are not always and only during certain hours which better clarify in advance. But the exposition inside has not made a strong impression on the outside much greener. Conveniently, that old buildings located in the heart of the city, and then you can still walk through the modern part of the small Dutch town.

  • Beautifully restored piece of history. Private collection of medieval art very nicely posed the free audio tour by Mr. van Os really adds something to what you see. In the adjacent restaurant is lovely to drink coffee.
