  • This is a great Buddha in Thailand the one very tallest Buddha of Thailand located at Wat Muang Monastery AngThong Province Thailand. Great Buddha of Thailand is the 9th Tallest statues in the world. ...  more »
  • Wat Muang is home to The Big Buddha, also known as Phra Buddha Maha Nawamin and Mahaminh Sakayamunee Visejchaicharn, which is the tallest Buddha statue in Thailand and the ninth tallest in the world.
  • We were a nice surprised that 40 km from Ayutthaya was such a place. Buddha of course looks impressive, but even more impressive impressed us park and surroundings. Tons of Asian characters. Fighting monkeys and demons, preparation for the garden of hell, the most macabre attraction, you have to see. After passing through the gruesome scene, fighting, blood and murder dochodisz to big Buddha, which brings relief. Perhaps the most unique complex of what I saw during the trip. Recommend. Recommend. I recommend!

  • I see it like this, there is a temple every few km in Central Thailand. In order to get people to visit the temple, the temple has to stand out. Wat Muang did that by building a giant Buddha, and it worked, the parking lot is full, the restaurants are busy, the shops are selling. The big Buddha is OK, but otherwise the wat in just ordinary, except for the amount of tourists. Honestly, I'd skip the temple, visit some place with a nice view of the big Buddha, and get a photo from there.
  • Thailand's largest Buddha statue 92 m and large statue park with some horrible statues, but quite worth seeing.
  • The tallest Buddha in Thailand and TOP-8 in the world. 92 meters. Amazing!
  • An amazing place..The Buddha can be seen from afar and the grounds tell the story of Buddha and the battles worth a visit even though it's off the tourist map well worth the time.
  • The sculpture of Buddha is nice! Nice for picture from near or far! Just beware it may need to hire the motor bike to be there from the bus station. There are very few taxi I seen!
