  • The best and biggest of lord Buddha statue in Thailand the location is in the central of Thailand. Very nice place located on the field rice of Aung Thong province !! Must see!!  more »
  • The place I felt incredible! Not only a Buddha of an enormous size but everything around there. Sculptures, temples, beautiful representations. It is really worthwhile. We were only a few hours from Lopburi. We take a collective and then ask a taxi that leads up to the temple. The problem is that it is so little visited by tourists that we fail to a taxi to go back! We had to hitchhike... There are to be taken into account and ask the taxi that you wait! Very beautiful, not I believe that is so little known by tourists!

  • I see it like this, there is a temple every few km in Central Thailand. In order to get people to visit the temple, the temple has to stand out. Wat Muang did that by building a giant Buddha, and it worked, the parking lot is full, the restaurants are busy, the shops are selling. The big Buddha is OK, but otherwise the wat in just ordinary, except for the amount of tourists. Honestly, I'd skip the temple, visit some place with a nice view of the big Buddha, and get a photo from there.
  • Thailand's largest Buddha statue 92 m and large statue park with some horrible statues, but quite worth seeing.
  • The tallest Buddha in Thailand and TOP-8 in the world. 92 meters. Amazing!
  • An amazing place..The Buddha can be seen from afar and the grounds tell the story of Buddha and the battles worth a visit even though it's off the tourist map well worth the time.
  • The sculpture of Buddha is nice! Nice for picture from near or far! Just beware it may need to hire the motor bike to be there from the bus station. There are very few taxi I seen!
