  • The Isan, Thai region in the center of the country, is gorgeous and luckily not visited by tourists. To the East, there are the most beautiful temples and that's lovely. In non-central location and within a large enclosure where there are several other temples still interesting, is this unique complex, whose main temple, almost 60 meters, repeated the shapes of a temple in Bodhgaya in the Indian State of Bihar. But the Temple of Ubon Ratchathani is higher and not to stone; his candor is accompanied by gilt tooling and other smaller shrines, but architecturally identical are placed at the four vertices of the large lawn on which was built the Nong Bua. Across the lawn there are testimonies of Buddhism and the visit may be short, not including the park inside the temple, absolutely great for gold that seems to fill a high wooden structure made of wooden beams to the appearance Golden Sands that intertwine and chasing each other. With the lighting at night the show is not less beautiful. I didn't see processions and visitors, Thai only, not many, but this is an added value, together with the fact that you can enter by car inside the outer walls. Absolutely unmissable and unforgettable for its originality and perfect preservation.

  • Hardly a more beautiful site than Nong Bua lit up. It is not in fact more than about 100 years old. It is also close to the zoo, also worth seeing.  more »
  • The Sri Maha Pho Chedi stands bright and shine in the blue sky of Ubonratchathani. Although you are not a Buddhist, you can feel the peace of mind walking around the temple. Local people helps donate ...  more »

  • What a magnificent temple! It's better to visit at night because of the lights, but after all, it's a great place to visit day or night. There's a park too, across the temple. It's nice just to sit there.
  • A very nice temple and definitely worth going to visit although a little further away from the city center. It is gorgeous and different from what you ordinarily see in Thailand. It is one of the holiest places in the country. Take your time to enjoy this beautiful temple complex.
  • It was a nice experience to see a a buddhist tempel similar to those in India. My mom told me that the builder replicated some looks of the Indian Buddhist Tempel.
  • A very nice place. One of the best I seen in Thailand under the best 50.
  • One of the more impressive and unusual Temples in Thailand. They can start to merge into one but this stands out. Suspiciously not promoted much as a tourist destination but the better for it. Amazing Phathat, beautiful inside and out.
