Gibbon Rehabilitation Project, Thalang District

(4.3/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web)
See playful gibbons in their natural environment as they are readied for reintroduction into the wild, and learn more about the conservation efforts of Gibbon Rehabilitation Project. The gibbons at the center are rescued from a life of captivity, where they are used as entertainment attractions for tourists. To help with the center's efforts, you can make a donation, or even "adopt" a gibbon, sponsoring its rehabilitation. After seeing the gibbons, take a short trek through the jungle for a cooling dip beneath a small waterfall. Gibbon Rehabilitation Project is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, Pa Khlok Edition.

  • We wanted to visit this place because we found the project very interesting... and give a participation. What was our disappointment when we discovered that the animals were caged... it gave a side "tourist trap"... More so than at the entrance to an elephant rides are available... (just before the karting). Plan good shoes, this slides to reach the waterfall and the anti-mosquito :-)

  • We hiked to the waterfall (short and relatively easy to navigate - I did much of it with a baby in a carrier and a toddler sitting on my shoulders, and there were older couples with walking sticks...)...  more »
  • The world is as seemingly superficial, seen in many of the comments. This is just no Touriattraktion and no Zoo, entertain themselves here to make, but to learn, to think about what brings our behavior and to report others. It is also good for children. The project is a good action. It is very good informiert...und you can see the animals
