Bang Pae Waterfalls, Thalang District

3.2
#4 of 6 in Parks in Thalang District
Waterfall Nature / Park
Go for a swim in the midst of the jungle underneath Bang Pae Waterfalls. A popular spot for locals and tourists alike, the waterfall itself is 10 m (33 ft) tall and part of a larger national park. Take a short path to the falls, or opt for the longer (and more challenging) scenic nature trail that winds its way there. Over the sound of the crashing water you might hear the chatty residents from the nearby gibbon rehabilitation center. You'll find a few restaurants near the parking lot if you get hungry. Wear shoes with good traction as you'll have to hike towards the waterfall and the surrounding rocks can get quite slippery. With our world travel planner, Pa Khlok attractions like Bang Pae Waterfalls can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Bang Pae waterfall located a little further from Gibbon rehabilitation project. It is 300 meters walk from the parking lot. The trail is very easy. It is for everyone; from baby to senior. It is not t...  more »
  • We might be a little spoilt in the waterfall department coming from New Zealand/Australia, but this one is definitely not worth the effort if you have seen one before. Here is why: 1) getting there - ...  more »
  • Great place for a half day trip, you can take a very refreshing swim right under the waterfall. Come early, say before 10 to enjoy rest (and few tourists)  more »

  • This was an okay attraction - the waterfall was nothing special. The only cool thing was the small pool at the bottom that you could dip your feet in. The walk to the waterfall was also short & uneventful.
  • A natural place to go, small waterfall and lake. There's a gibbon renaturalization project, but just can only watch in distance. There seems a natural road blocked. Same as years before, rain came, no place to get shelter but only run away back as fast as you can. Entrance fee is still a racist problem while foreigners buy tickets but free for Thai citizens. What extra does a foreigner could see since they paid for ticket ? Hope it gets better next time...
  • Beautiful easy walk. The main attraction is the gibbon rescue center though!!
  • Waterfall entry fee was 200thb per person but we got three tickets for 300thb. Our car driver talked to the security and we got the ticket for 100baht pp. 5 minutes walking distance to the waterfall.
  • Good walk up to the falls. Good option for a soak.
