Bang Pae Waterfalls, Thalang District

(200+ reviews on the web)
Waterfall
Go for a swim in the midst of the jungle underneath Bang Pae Waterfalls. A popular spot for locals and tourists alike, the waterfall itself is 10 m (33 ft) tall and part of a larger national park. Take a short path to the falls, or opt for the longer (and more challenging) scenic nature trail that winds its way there. Over the sound of the crashing water you might hear the chatty residents from the nearby gibbon rehabilitation center. You'll find a few restaurants near the parking lot if you get hungry. Wear shoes with good traction as you'll have to hike towards the waterfall and the surrounding rocks can get quite slippery. With our world travel planner, Pa Khlok attractions like Bang Pae Waterfalls can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Wonderful scenery, natural beauty, cooling water after the trek to get up to the waterfall. Lots of locals and tourists alike enjoying the water.  more »
  • Decided to go to this waterfall, because it is the biggest and see small Gibbons. We went on a moped and long enough (a little more than an hour with Caron). Entrance 200 baht per person. When you visit the Park, immediately hear singing Gibbons. Very cute animals. To the waterfall leads a good trail, waterfall itself is not very big. We were in Saturday were local, who arranged picnics on stones and bathed in a waterfall. Overall, we really enjoyed it though and have spent a lot of time. But it stood.

  • So, the 200thb per person are already high. After approx. 300 minutes on foot is at the waterfall. If you want you can splash around some in the small basin before. (and if not too much is going on) The Gibbon rehabilitation center is at the entrance too. What is done is important and right. However, the target don't it is a show to make.

  • One of the two 'main' waterfalls in Phuket, which doesn't mean much since Phuket doesn't have impressive waterfalls. You'll have to pay the park fee on top of it and at high season water can be reduced to a trickle. Probably not worth it.
  • Very nice place to cool off. Bit of a long walk to the waterfall. Have facilities including toilets and food at the base. Knock off one star for the national park fees which is 200THB per person but not so sure of the benefits other than public toilets and keeping locals off from pumping the waterfall dry.
  • Good place in the right season when there is water. Good to reach the place in morning or early afternoon.
  • A small beautiful waterfall. If you love nature, I advise you to visit! =)
  • Gibbons and waterfalls and a great Thai restaurant near by
