Bang Pae Waterfalls, Thalang District
(3.2/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web)
Go for a swim in the midst of the jungle underneath Bang Pae Waterfalls. A popular spot for locals and tourists alike, the waterfall itself is 10 m (33 ft) tall and part of a larger national park. Take a short path to the falls, or opt for the longer (and more challenging) scenic nature trail that winds its way there. Over the sound of the crashing water you might hear the chatty residents from the nearby gibbon rehabilitation center. You'll find a few restaurants near the parking lot if you get hungry. Wear shoes with good traction as you'll have to hike towards the waterfall and the surrounding rocks can get quite slippery. With our world travel planner, Pa Khlok attractions like Bang Pae Waterfalls can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • We drove about 40 minutes from Patong Beach to the waterfall with the scooter. Great nature, such as in the jungle and a 15 metre high waterfall with a small stream where you can swim anywhere. Finally, a place which is not overrun by tourists. A visit costs 200 baht per adult.

  • We traveled by car entrance fee, 200bat per person. Not a strong climb through the jungle to it. Or anything special. Swim and dive in a brown water there desire)) and such were mainly Asians

  • Ahh waterfalls. I've swum in and around many but with 5 women hot and sweaty from a bus ride, this was a lovely place to spend over an hour behaving like children. We walked up the track to the very e...  more »

  • One of the two 'main' waterfalls in Phuket, which doesn't mean much since Phuket doesn't have impressive waterfalls. You'll have to pay the park fee on top of it and at high season water can be reduced to a trickle. Probably not worth it.
  • Very nice place to cool off. Bit of a long walk to the waterfall. Have facilities including toilets and food at the base. Knock off one star for the national park fees which is 200THB per person but not so sure of the benefits other than public toilets and keeping locals off from pumping the waterfall dry.
  • Good place in the right season when there is water. Good to reach the place in morning or early afternoon.
  • A small beautiful waterfall. If you love nature, I advise you to visit! =)
  • Gibbons and waterfalls and a great Thai restaurant near by
