Visit and volunteer at Wildlife Friends of Thailand, a rescue center and wildlife hospital for a wide variety of animals. See how monkeys, wild cats, bears, birds, reptiles, and elephants are nursed to good health and released into the wild (when possible). You can also get involved with the volunteer program, which allows for working closely with the animals but requires a cash donation. If you prefer to visit only, check out day trips to the rescue center and elephant range, where the creatures are treated humanely. Remember to reserve ahead of time for any visit or volunteer program. See Wildlife Friends of Thailand and all Tha Yang has to offer by arranging your trip with our Tha Yang vacation builder.

First get a guided tour through a large part of the site, will be of the living species (apes, bears, a crocodile,...) and their fates and difficulties. Of course, the elephant are the highlights. After a super tasty and very plentiful lunch then get "his" elephants, with which you can relax 1:1 walking in small groups. Each guest must complete a stretch with a bucket full of fruit and an elephant through the great terrain. The moments with these quiet, powerful and wonderful animals are unsurpassable and leave an unforgettable impression. After the walk, the elephant gets a shower, what is very fun (and wet). Arrival and departure were super organized and our van was very pleasant to the drive. Conclusion: a much more intensive and good ethically defensible encounter with these wild animals as to ride on them and to promote their exploitation and torment this yet.
