Trek through the dramatic scenery of Khao Sok National Park, one of the oldest rainforests in the world and the wettest spot in Thailand. Jagged rock formations extend 300-600 m (984-1,969 ft) upward from Cheow Lan Lake with luscious green vegetation clinging to their sides and waterfalls tumbling from them. Elephants, tigers, tapirs, deer, boars, bears, gibbons, macaques, and many more wild animals roam the jungle (some 5 percent of the world's species in total). Take a boat across the lake, and follow winding trails that crisscross the park as you admire the bounteous flora and fauna. Flash floods, leeches, and slippery ground make the wet season significantly more dangerous, but some may wish to risk the hazards for the increased likelihood of spotting the big animals who become more active during this period. Khao Sok National Park Reviews
Скалы с тропическим лесом уходящие в небо! Только на драконах летать...завораживает. Сплавлялись на плотах по реке. Представление о rain forest получили полное. И красиво и жутко местами. We were at the PANVAREE RESORT. Given the price of the accommodation, we were entitled to expect quality service, which was absolutely not the case: meals at fixed times, food staff, varied little bit competent (we had to request for our rooms be made daily etc...).
Amazing national park. Lots of critters to see and the cave exploring was nice. Watch the weather if you're going to the cave. They will only take you a short route if it is cloudy due to weather issues. It's not worth the risk if it's raining. Highly suggest checking out the water falls if you get a chance. Also renting a bike a cruising to the elephant sanctuary is a nice treat. You don't have to pay to just watch them at the gate.
This place is beautiful! A wild and wonderful jungle gem, nestled between the Gulf and Andaman coasts. You can do a tour of Thailand's largest lake (made in the 80s), explore exciting water-filled caves, take a scenic boat ride or just soak up the views from a riverside bungalow. But the very best part is that you can enjoy some self-guided hiking! The jungle is dense and full of spots to stop and swim near little waterfalls, and potential animal encounters! A very fun escape from the crowds on the beaches. See another side of Southern Thailand!
Khao Sok lake with its breathtaking cliffs covered by original jungle will get you. Place got quite touristy, but it is worth it. We did a full day trip on the boat with an hour long walk to the jungle to walk back 800m through the cave. This was unforgettable and really adventurous. At some places underground river reaches up to the chest...
Had a wonderful time here. The resort is perfectly rustic, and quaint. The staff was incredibly friendly and fun. We opted to do the boating day and dinners included in our stay and it was great. With the dinners, they surprised us each night with a Thai dinner set that was fantastic. Really fun and exciting experience. The AC worked very well and the showers were good.
Beautiful limestone cliffs and lake. Hikes are humid but short and easy. We had a blast and we are already talking about making another trip back sometime.
