  • Popped here for a flying visit on way up to Jungle, what an amazing place. The Elephants are clearly loved here, not chained or poked with sticks like I’ve seen in other countries. Our elephant friend...  more »

  • No elephant rides here, but they treat the animals with respect. Expect a full or half day tour and do not come late afternoon as they close at 4pm.  more »

  • We just stopped by early in the morning (9 o'clock) to feed the elephants. So not any other tourists were there and it's great! The elephants seem to be in good condition. And the people there seem nice. We bought to buckets full of banana (the same quality we can buy in the market!) for THB100 each, which is very cheap when you compare to what we pay for animal feed (like a bunch of grass) in the zoos in BKK. My duaghter (2.5 yrs old) really like this place.
  • Amazing and pure. It was so wonderfull and so close with the elephants. Awesome.
  • THE HISTORY ELEPHANT HAVEN THAILAND. KANCHANABURI.
  • very small, hidden elephant camp; people there are very kind to the animals and take good care of them; there are no shows anymore (thanks god) only visiting and feeding of the elephants; everything looks quite happy, small entrance fee and for buying bananas.
  • Amazing

Where to stay in Sai Yok

A few dozen hotels remain scattered throughout the mountains and jungle in Sai Yok. Although luxurious resorts are more numerous, a few quality backpacker-friendly places have popped up recently. Look for accommodations inside the national park or near popular Sai Yok places to visit, and ask the hotel staff about organizing tours of the area. The hotel tour rates tend to be better than prices charged by tour guides, who frequently offer unsolicited services.
