See an important reminder of World War II at Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum and Walking Trail, commemorating part of the route of the Burma Railway. Known also as the "Death Railway," the line was constructed by POWs held by Japanese forces, along with Asian slave-laborers. This particular section was cut through solid rock by Allied prisoners and slaves working under treacherous conditions, with little rest or food. Now a museum, the site allows you to walk through the valley and learn about this tragic period in human history, with a range of exhibits and touching memorials to those that suffered here. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Sai Yok holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum and Walking Trail and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • The Museum has a video and photo and details to go to hell with (another name is recessed hell) to invite the depressed, but it is one of the things that occurred in history sat uncomfortably hot. Water and blows or shade to go with the better.

  • After first to have made a circular walk in the museum (with very clean toilets you must enter barefoot) emotionally to the walk started. So forget water. Very emotional and we best heavy to walk in the hitting and high air humidity. Lot of pictures and lots of thought.
