Rawai Beach, Rawai
(2.9/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
Dine on fresh grilled seafood straight off the boat at Rawai Beach. Fisherman and tour boats alike use the beach as a launching point for day trips to the surrounding islands. The busy boat traffic don't create the best environment for swimming and sunbathing, but the cheerfully painted boats make for a pleasant stroll along the waterfront. • 1-not a place where you can swim! 2-is a place where you can go to eat and now the question becomes about what to expect. There are the infamous "sea Gypsies" but Thais municipalities, there are places that cook fish for 100bath but local restaurants with the fish counter which then Cook (you choose the menu anyway) and the prices are definitely much more for tourists than Thai. 3-buses to go are the blue ones get off at raway beach and not in cha long as written in some other comment because you will be in 5 km of pedestrian road and you have to take or another bus (then wait and pay again) or a taxi and do not demand low figures. In return taxis will try to ask you more than 500bath which is the fixed amount exposed on each sign because there is no traffic! Decline and stay in 500bath. Buses make the last race very early (around 16 h -17 .30). So I felt it was an exciting place, quaint, it's worth seeing or rather if you are around and you have extra days ok otherwise no.

  • The place itself is very cozy and the quality is screwed up in relation to Karon and Patong for shops and restaurants. You can always discuss whether it is genuine Thailand but there it. If you go here on the beach side shouts taxis and longtail landlords in greater degree than I have experienced it before, which can be irksome. But if you want to get to a quiet and lovely beach you can sail out to the from Rawai. You must not take from here until you have eaten fish and shellfish at the side of the at the fish market, where you choose what you want and get it prepared on the spot. Fantastic

  • this beach is not really a swimming beach but a great place to pick up the long tail boats to other islands and the restaurants are fun in the area
