Thank You so much Phil for helping me overcome a fear I never thought I could conquer!! Before I started the diving I was a very weak swimmer and actually quite scared of water (I didn't even like getting water in my face) however, because I let Phil know this prior to starting the course he was able to assist me and reassure me that I was okay throughout. After even half an hour in the water on the first day I had picked up so much confidence and by lunch time I'd safely say I felt comfortable in water which I've never felt before, all thanks to Phil and his patience and kind manner. I am so proud of myself for being able to get my 12 metre certificate, diving is something I never thought I'd ever do in my life due to my swimming struggles but I managed and feel so much self achievement from that. However, I truly believe I wouldn't have been able to do it without Phil as my instructor, he just made me feel so safe. A month on and not only am I a diver, I'm now a happy, confident swimmer and enjoy doing it for fun!! Thank you endlessly Phil!!!

I have only positive things to say about Local Dive Thailand. Their organisation, starting from hotel transfer, through boat boarding, food quality and crew behaviour is just superb. Everything goes according to plan with little to no delays. The divers are true professionals. Born (my new buddy), Pu, Chok are like fishes in the water, know their sites and local wildlife inside-out. They are extremely friendly, welcoming and determined to help you to have a great time. Most of the dive sites are excellent and offer something for every dive level. You can do wall dive, drift dive, wreck penetration dive, cave dive, coral reef dive - it's all there. One of the best moment in my life was standing amid a school of thousands yellow snappers. It was mesmerising.

I did my Open Water and Advanced Open Water over the course of a week with Phill as my instructor. The entire experience from morning pick up to evening drop off and pool to Phi Phi was well organized and the staff incredibly supportive. Phill explained each step in the scuba process and why we need to do each step that way patiently and thoroughly. He was a fantastic teacher and I had a great dozen dives with him. I highly suggest Local Dive Thailand!
