  • Travel early to study good path but a path that must travel through a paved road. In the area of supplementary activities are also rarely have much value and may be prepared to own end. The care of the authorities as the standard.

  • Hill tribe village near Laos border. They are living simple country life. Their New Year celebration take place around halfway December. Most of the village people get dressed in traditional festive outfit. They are playing music and performing singing.
  • Good for hiking but beware - lots of leeches and trails are unmarked. Very easy to get lost. Ask for a map at the HQ. If camping or staying at a bungalow without a vehicle you will have to walk 700 metres downhill to the restaurant/shop/HQ then back up again.
  • Beautiful (motorcycle) ride through this park. I didn't stay overnight but one particular viewpoint here is the best viewpoint I've seen anywhere in Thailand. Beautiful place!
  • We paid 200 bht per person, to get the information at the visitor center, that the natur trail and every other option for trekking ia closed in September. We phoned a few times the day before for information about the bus ecc. but nobody could answer us in english or said something about the bad time to visit the park now in the rainy season.
  • Spectacular mountain scenery. At 1600m (5000ft) above the sea level it also offers great respite from the heat and humidity of the lowlands. Great value villas run by the National Park. Sadly there is only one hiking trail with no other wildlife than leeches. The poorly marked (in some places) trail climbs through some old forest but no views and we were disappointed. The food services is spotty off-season. Not only it takes 45 minutes from the time you order but they open late and close at 5 pm so plan accordingly.
