  • To reach the Temple of the monkey mountain, located in the northern part of Prachuap, along the road to long beach to AO Noi. It's happening right in the middle of the small fishing village. The way is not to miss, because the high chimney of the crematory of the temple complex is visible from afar. The temple was one of the first, which were built entirely of wood. Meanwhile, also the exterior is finished and the temples are a great ambience. Inside you no longer comes out of amazement. The many wall paintings in all indoor areas are all made of wood carved and beautifully painted. Usually a friendly monk with good English knowledge available, which explains the history of the temple, the wood paneling and the many wall paintings is also here. After the temple visit, you should visit also the small community of monks, which are 2 x immediately after the exit to the right. From there back, a very nice little plant is staying at this small road, right on the mountain slope. Then on the left side of the pond with a huge stock of fish. Who rises up to feed the fish, no longer comes out feeding of amazement. Hundreds of carp and catfish make made of fish feed. But here's the tour long ago not to end. Behind the small house, where you can buy the fish food, it goes up the stairs on the right side. I don't know how many levels there were, but more than 300. The way up to very large cave surrounded by prickly pears. Once at the top is not only a great view at the temple complex, but also on AO Noi and the located adjacent very long beautiful beach. Before going into the caves, should the machine at least 2 10 baht pieces put in, which releases the light in the spacious caves for about 20 minutes. First, you encounter an oversized reclining Buddha. After that, a whole armada of seated monk figures settled another cave. A large number of bats has chosen the cave as home. I'll have a strong torch there on my next visit to the security so that I can stay longer in the caves, safe. It is a great experience. You should reserve half a day for the entire temple complex.

  • The temple is beautiful, the weather is very good. If there is a recommended time to go up to worship God on the mountain are in if sleeping in. On the way up, it may be difficult, but enough to go up and then after wandering over shady casual air.

  • Beautiful temple entirely in teak ascension behind the temple is not long or complicated and the 2 bed Buddhas are worth making the effort!

  • This is actually the new temple and although the polished teak interior is impressive, the best sightseeing experience is the old temple on the nearby hill. Take a few minutes to check the rocky areas behind the old temple - the small cave with half a dozen Buddha statues within - before ascending the 300 steps to the cave at the top of the peak. Within you'll find one of the most amazing sights at any temple in Thailand. There are two large reclining Buddhas, a line-up of seated monks and, at the furthest point in the cave, the incredible crystal Buddha.
  • A very special temple build from teak wood. Visited the quiet area and quiet fishing village gave peace of mind.
  • wat ao noi is a beautiful buddhist temple located on the small beach literally translated: ao noi. it is built from teak wood and relatively new. i would recommend to club up the stairs to the cave and see the beautiful reclining buddhas in there.
  • Great teak wood temple with beautiful carvings and snake dragon making a guard fence around. It's a new one build in this century. Other temple is up the hill with cave with huge reclining buddha and other buddha statues. It's good view of Ao Noi (ao = bay) with nice scenery of scattered fishing boats. Buy for 10 baht food to feed big catfish in the pond :-)
  • I found this temple beautiful. I love the wooden curvings and many paintings inside. Plus there's a cave nearby with laying Buddha up in the mountain from were you can admire the view. The complex with monks' houses is also interesting and on the back of it there's a cute little beach.
