  • Fantastic organisation working for a great cause! And you get to pat the puppies! Yay!
  • This is a must see for anyone in Phuket and should be the number 1 place to visit for animal lovers. What Soi have done for the stray dogs and cats of Phuket and their efforts to put an end to the dog meat trade is nothing short of amazing. They have tours at 0930, 1100, 1330 and 1430 where you can hear the story of soidog and its future plans to help these poors animals. After the tour you can stay and spend time with the dogs and cats at the shelter.
  • Amazing organisation, wish it was easier to adopt a dog back to Australia! The organisation itself has been doing amazing work with basically eradicating rabies from Phuket. They're expanding into tackling the dog meat market on the mainland and even into Vietnam
  • I live in Phuket ad Bangkok and 1 of the street dogs that often comes to see me for food etc got hit by a motorbike side car driver, who just continued to ride off. In front of his 2 other soi dog mates, he lay in the road, mangled up and in real distress........i was 20 meters away and saw it happen. Immediately i ran and could see that he had 2 broken legs. I got it in the back of my pick up with my manager, alsovery distressed after seeing it and drive to Thalang pet hospital as i knew it needed an operation. 2 weeks went by and the dog was still very distressed, crying in the night and all day time. We had to go back to Bkk for work commitments and clearly nobody else in the street had a care in the world for the dog. Having had a pet from Soi dog 11 years ago (it lasted 1.5 years as i got it at 3 months old as was full of tiks and diseases) i thought i would call them for their advice. The dog i had before was clearly in need of putting down but after visiting 11 vets all around Phuket none of them would do it and Soi dog would not take it back. Anyway, i called Soi dog about this dog and the response i got was "please take some pictures for me and sms to this number" I did that. After a day i got a reply. Please send us the detail. I spoke with 2 different people and clearly explained the situation. I was going back to bkk, the dog is very distressed and nobody can take care of it, nobody is at all interested. Even his other dog mates seemed to have rejected him as they don't go anywhere near him now.......very strange. I told them and sent as much information as possible. I heard nothing for 2 days. On the day before i was going to bkk i called them again and said to them that they needed to come or i will drive the dog to them on the way to the airport. I then got told that they have a bad case of distemper in the place and they cannot accept anymore animals, referring to my dog as my "PET" and he is my responsibility. All these reports of "Soi Dog area class act, Soi Dog are fantastic.............etc etc""makes me laugh. The 2 occasions i have dealt with them, they have badly, badly let not only me down but also the dogs that have needed their help. They pay their staff pittance and when you pay peanuts you often get monkeys doing the job. Heroes? I only hope the street dog with broken legs in Phuket is ok, and when i return to i have no idea what, i can thank Soi Dog for their dedication towards him!!!
  • I am so glad that this foundation exist...Thanks to All the Staff that everyday take away the misery of this unfortunate dogs. God bless you. I wish I could donate more.
