Phuket Zoo, Phuket
(1.3/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Visit Phuket Zoo to see a wide variety of animals. Take photos with some of the park's most famous residents, and stroll around the ample gardens. With themed areas and an interesting layout, this zoo has become popular with international visitors, particularly younger ones. Small stands around the grounds sell cold beer or ice cream. Note that multiple visitors have reported poor conditions for the animals, which may be reason to skip this attraction. Put Phuket Zoo and other Phuket Town attractions into our Phuket Town family vacation planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • From the Phuket Zoo this nightmare is not expected. There is something to compare-some provincial zoos in Thailand is much cheaper and much more fun. And here?! 1. Animals almost no-look not at whom in fact. 2. Show primitive so that even children are not interesting. 3. any photo with some animals worth 200 baht, and animals "photo" just not))))))))) 4. Dirty ... 5. The restaurant on site is expensive and tasteless. Killed half a day and spent a considerable amount of wasted ... Upset very;((((((

  • the zoo in his general State is dirty, maintenance seems "absent", neglected as a whole and it's a shame because could be great because there is room to see. If the cost 500baths, or € 13, inside entrance paid everything to be photographed with the animals (Tiger, elephant, crocodile, snake, monkey, Eagle) and each photo is 200baths, for our part the Tiger remains the most original and less common. However the show, very short, only 15 min with the elephants, crocodile and monkey are free

  • To begin with, what exactly is not worth its money! Zoo in grim and dilapidated, everything old, destruction, the animals filthy, inside again all for additional cost. To feed the animal bananas 20 baht each cage, feed for catfish and CARP 40 baht, photo did not recognize we bought three shows are included in the ticket, but it's a circus in a bad sense. Primitive is not the word. Show monkeys consists of one! Monkey. Elephants are good in themselves, can and just stand there) Crocodile were interesting, but still very simple. parents in shock, but children liked it)))

  • Horrible zoo. Worst zoo I've ever been to. Poor animals are forced to do acts and treated like garbage. elephants are chained to the floor and monkeys are abused to do acts. Animals look sick and facility was totally disgusting. I held the monkeys and poor things refused to go back to the owner. It was doing everything possible to run away from them before being thrown back into a cage. Very sad place. Please don't spend the money to support such a horrible place.
  • If I can select less than one then I will be doing it. The wrost Zoo I ever been. The Zoo so dirty, lots of cages are empty. The Monkey show was discusting, the monkey was with a rope and forced to do the show, then we went to corcodile show another disaster, then we left the park without continuing the place or even to see the elephant show. The aquarium was another disaster. The place full of bad smell, insects and mosqetous.
  • This zoo is a pretty nicely run facility. You can get up close and personal with animals that other countries would never allow. For instance, "Take your photo with a Tiger". A real adult Tiger on a chain. Walk up and sit with it for a while and get your photo taken. It was tempting for me, but I'm not a cat person. The real test of a happy zoo is how the elephants are treated. While these elephants do not have enough room and are kept on chains, they didn't look abused. Ok, maybe keeping them on chains is abuse but after seeing how these animals are treated at the local Elephant Trek Adventures, seeing them relatively ok was a nice thing. There is a nice assortment of birds and most of them will take banana from you. Banana bunches are sold throughout the park for feeding animals. The Hornbills are most common here and they take food from you so slowly and gently often offering it to another bird or even back to you before eating it. Great place for kids as there are Crocodile shows, Monkey shows and Elephant shows many times a day.
  • Absolutely horrible zoo. Please do not come to this zoo. Animals are kept in terrible conditions, pacing and begging for food. Do not support this zoo
  • The zoo is not at all maintained.. The animals are kept in poor conditions. There are animals shows with monkey, crocodiles and elephants. Photo booths with an adult tiger, pythons and an orangutan. Animal exploitation at its best. Please do not entertain this kind of half-hearted money oriented places.
