Windmill Viewpoint, Phuket Town
Categories: Lookouts, Tourist Spots
Nestled between two beaches, Windmill Viewpoint remains a lesser-known spot with sweeping western views over the verdant coastline, Cape Phromthep, and the island of Koh Man. Named for the tall windmills gracing the top of the lookout, this perch attracts model-airplane enthusiasts by day and a pleasantly small crowd for sunset. Amenities are few, save an occasional vendor selling drinks or jewelry. If you're driving here for one of the spectacular sunsets, note that the parking lot closes just after the sun goes down, so consider leaving the car outside the lot to enjoy the last of the day's rays stress-free. As opposed to Laem Phrongthep, this has way less tourists while you can enjoy pretty much the same view, but without having to fight for that perfect photography spot.
Wonderful view. Best lookout in the whole island
Great place to visit. Pretty crowdy during sunset, but mostly empty and romantic after midnight
Another spot for sun set. Suggest to not drive and park here as it is very difficult to get back.
Great view. You get to see Ya Nui and Naihan beach. Worthy of making a short stop.
