Naka Market, Phuket Town

(3.9/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web)
Colorfully lit and impressively well-stocked with a variety of goods, Naka Market represents a fine introduction to Phuket life, trade, and culture. The overwhelming array of goods are divided into two sections: a covered area selling secondhand items and curios, and a newer outdoor area focusing on fashion and electronics. To the side of the entrace you'll find the food section, including all kinds of sweet and savory treats. Do your best to work through the crowds, snap photos of the artfully arranged stalls, and pick up a snack or cold beverage. • Small street market with average products. Only worth a visit if you are staying close by and in a hurry to buy last minute gifts. Don't expect to find anything outstanding or good deals
  • This place is great, of course, it is touristy, Thais won't do their shopping. But it's a summary of what you can - find in almost all tourist areas. At least you do once and for all. We arrived late the market was about to close so unfortunately we couldn't see or taste everything, but negotiating the price was easy because sellers was probably exhausted and didn't have that in mind it was to close their stand and go home, said us verbatim! Hahaha! That's win-win. The food is excellent and the price of memories are reasonable compared to other places.
