Dive, hike, or just relax at Similan Islands, protected as a national park since 1982. The largely untouched natural wonder encompasses an archipelago of nine separate isles and draws nature lovers and adventurous souls from around the world. The endangered coral and plentiful sea life, experiencing recovery after decades of fishing bans, remain hugely appealing for snorkelers interested in observing life in its many wondrous forms. Take a look at our Phang Nga family vacation planner to schedule your visit to Similan Islands and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

Check weather (weather) when you go, because if there is bad weather, can be canceled or not visited many of the places. Vusca tour full day and speed boats ($50.00 it more than you pay, or less depends on the company). Don't forget to camera and see clothes being wet. There you mulles, you have to jump in the water (1 to 3 feet deep) to go to the Islands. You will visit more than one island and that includes food. You mojaras, so that complete or bring with you protectors of water for your cellphone, wallet, etc... No te preocutes, te secaras rapid temperature. The boats have juices and water (bottle). Remember to check the weather before planning your trip. Looking for tours departing tempered in the morning, almost always the sea is more relaxed.

Must see place in Thailand. Very beautiful. White sand, crystal clear water stunning views. Yes, sadly it's very overcrowded, but you won't notice if you just sit and relax :)

The best and cleanest beachfront one can find in this part of the sea. Take advantage of the possibility of spending a night here to enjoy the empty beach in the morning and snorkeling with less crowds. Generally way less crowded than any of the other islands we've visited. Highly recommended.

Amaizing white sand beaches and water so clear that you have feeling it is air. Absolutely to see in Thailand - worth to pay more and stay a night or two to see it without crowd (all one-day trip boats arrive/leave/hang around between 10.00 - 16.00)

Where to stay in Phang Nga
Phang Nga does not offer luxurious resorts and features just a handful of budget and mid-range accommodation choices. If you must stay on the main street, ask for a room in the back, or you probably won't be able to sleep from the music and noise blasting throughout the night. Although generally clean, many of the town's old hotels do not all offer hot water, air conditioning, or dependable Wi-Fi. Mid-range hotels, located away from the main street, provide better accommodations with ocean views.
