  • I booked a tour with departure by bus makes Kao Lak about twenty minutes from boarding to Similan Islands. It takes approximately 1.40 on fast imbarcaxione and I must say we visited the various islands one more beautiful than the other. Got to 4 seat of the natural park saw the two highest positions that allow you to admire the spectacle of these posts. The water and a beautiful color as I haven't seen at other places here in Thailand worth to this tour is a wonderful place. It is also possible to stay either in tent which in the lodges, go through the agencies, either for a day or two go see this paradise

  • A very beautiful place! I have been here a couple of times both snorkeling and scuba diving. The visibility in the water is usually amazing. Make sure to check the weather forecast before going since the boat ride is pretty long and the sea can be quite rough. Bring and or take a remedy for sea sickness.
  • Maybe it's because I live a 5hr flight away from Hawaii, but I was very disappointed with the quality of the snorkeling and the amount of people. We did a day tour and the 1.5 hour each way speed boat ride to get there was extremely bumpy and uncomfortable, the visibility was not great and the corals were mostly dead, very few fish and lots of tourists in the water. The only good thing was that the water is very warm. We had lunch at one of the islands and it was a nightmare, no place to sit, barely a place to stand while eating, surrounded by literally thousands of tourists.
  • Actually this is very promoted place with regular service, snorkeling is regular, nothing specific. Beach is excellent with white sand but very crowded. Very beautiful view from top rocks.
  • Clearest water I have ever seen. Non filtered pictures are unbelievably unreal looking
  • Stay overnight for the real deal, you will thank me later. Walk to the other side of the island for some peace and quiet. There be lizards.

Where to stay in Phang Nga

Phang Nga does not offer luxurious resorts and features just a handful of budget and mid-range accommodation choices. If you must stay on the main street, ask for a room in the back, or you probably won't be able to sleep from the music and noise blasting throughout the night. Although generally clean, many of the town's old hotels do not all offer hot water, air conditioning, or dependable Wi-Fi. Mid-range hotels, located away from the main street, provide better accommodations with ocean views.
