Phang Nga Elephant Park is run by a family that has cared for elephants for 150 years. The park is within a typical rural village, where a small group of people works on providing the elephants with good living conditions. The aim of the park is to protect the animals and stop abusive practices, while providing the wildlife with positive interactions with humans--and education for those humans who come in touch with them. There are few elephant farms in Thailand that really take care of these wonderful beasts and we were fortunate to find this wonderful location. It’s ver hard time for these kinds of places to... more »

We visited this park in March 2020, this trip was overwhelming, we had a fantastic experience with Tong - Sri a 38 year old female elephant from feeding her to bathing her was something we will never.... more »

Had a really amazing experience doing the mourning half day with Finn, and Baramee, our elephant for the day. The place is very big on conservation and ethical tourism, while encouraging more interaction with the elephants than some places. The whole experience was finished off with a very tasty home cooked meal. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining, the mahouts very nice, and the elephants... truly magical.

Fantastic family experience. Friendly guides and attention to detail are both excellent. Great food. Ethical treatment of animals. A must do.

Such an amazing experience. The guides and mahout are fantastic and very knowledgeable. The elephants are not chained up like some parks and are really looked after. I highly recommend

I love the park so much, I keep going back every year to visit all of my favorite elephants and all of my special friends, I understand what a lot of people think that this place is trying to trick people into seeing elephants chained and abused with all the tourists riding them but no, unlike other camps, half of them were rescued whilst the other half were sold to this park to be in a happier place. This place is very much indeed ethical and sacred to all over Thailand, I highly recommend everyone else gives this a try themselves and see what they think, they'll love them

Beautiful experience if it's your first time with elephants. I wish they would spend more time explaining about the elephant and their life rather than why the park is ethical (felt it was a bit over doing it). Overall, pleasant experience, friendly staff and nice to see elephant rather in a good environment.
