Wong Amat Beach, Pattaya

3.0
#7 of 19 in Beaches in Chonburi Province
Beach Nature / Park
For a little less crowd and noise, head to Wong Amat Beach to sunbathe and swim. Its recent popularity has resulted in tall luxury condos and 5-star hotel resorts dominating the skyline, yet the beach itself remains quiet and clean, with a relatively new promenade. The still-active fishing industry here ensures good quality seafood options, plus bars for sitting with your cocktail and watching the world go by. For those who want to swim in the pristine waters, make sure to wear swimming shoes, as the rocks in the sea tend toward the jagged side. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Pattaya holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Wong Amat Beach and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

Where to stay in Pattaya

Stay near Walking Street for lodgings closest to Pattaya's famous nightlife. Head up the coast to find quieter and bigger rooms in budget hotels or the more expensive resort-style complexes. You can also look in Soi Buakhao, where backpacker hostels and economical hotels offer easy access to main attractions, activities, and facilities.
