Wong Amat Beach, Pattaya
(3/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
For a little less crowd and noise, head to Wong Amat Beach to sunbathe and swim. Its recent popularity has resulted in tall luxury condos and 5-star hotel resorts dominating the skyline, yet the beach itself remains quiet and clean, with a relatively new promenade. The still-active fishing industry here ensures good quality seafood options, plus bars for sitting with your cocktail and watching the world go by. For those who want to swim in the pristine waters, make sure to wear swimming shoes, as the rocks in the sea tend toward the jagged side. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Pattaya holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Wong Amat Beach and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Far away from busy Pattaya. No people asking you to stay in their sun loungers. You can just bring your own mat and you can choose which part of Wongamat you like to chill. I suggest you go to through...  more »
  • Wong Amat is located in Northern Pattaya. It's quiet, a lot of Greens, pristine beaches, clean sea (no need to spend a lot of time for trips to the Islands). The district has many restaurants, cafes, makashnic. Fruit and freshly squeezed juices, what else do you need for a relaxing holiday?

  • Spent time with pleasure at this beach because they lived nearby and because of fairly clean, lots of vegetation, the sea was clear, not very deeply, gently sloping entrance. A little not enough sun beds and umbrellas. They were in the area where the ride scooters and boats, but bathe there. You could buy a mat for 100 Baht from traders. And a lot of other (buy). Recommend this beach to visit. And we were very pleased!
