Walking Street Pattaya, Pattaya

Landmark Tourist Spot
Stroll down Walking Street Pattaya and take in the sights, sounds, and relative chaos of one of Thailand's most (in)famous nightlife areas, and the center of its adult entertainment industry. Stop off in one of the multitude of bars and clubs to watch a performance, or just soak up the hedonistic atmosphere of the place over a drink. This red light district has long been the stomping grounds of Western men looking for love in Southeast Asia, but in recent years the street has become more accessible for a wider clientele, with daytime tours of the fascinating and lively strip. • Bit crazy but I expect that is why most people are there. Some good prices on beers and huge selection of bars and night life. Good chance you will find what you are looking for here
  • Nothing but selling sex or sex shows. If that's your dig, then by all means. Thankfully I saw nothing of the underage sex trade. However, Pattaya is known to be one of the worst cities in the world for it, which is why we almost skipped Pattaya. Walking street is full of bars, but most of them are selling sex as much as alcohol. Not a place for kids/families. You can see tons of working girls (clothed) as you walk down.
  • Famous street . Must see for tourists. But you won't see smth unusual or erotic. Everything is forbidden. Girls dance in a clothes . Some of them without bra. A lot of people, atmosphere of fishing. They want your money. Be careful and don't go to X show. Instead of looking at old woman with candles
  • It all depends what you are looking for, Walking Street is probably a love it or hate it sort of place. If you haven't been before it is certainly an assault on the senses and first time visitors can find it a bit overwhelming. That said, they usually adjust quite quickly. Bars competing for your business compete equally with each other to see who can pump out the loudest music. Who can have the most eyecatching scantily dressed "hostesses" or the best drink promotions. It can certainly be an interesting place to sit with a drink and people watch! There is something for everyone with disco bars, Ago go bars, live music bars, nightclubs, take away street food, sit down sea food. Pretty much something to cater to all tastes. It can get quite busy around midnight. In fact, many bars are quite empty until around this time. So it's definately a place for Night Owls with some of the clubs playing until the sun comes up. Take a walk down the street during the day, it seems like you are in a completely different place altogether. A point to note, if you are taking the dark blue open back communal taxis usually referred to as "baht bus" the fare is 10 baht. Don't pay any more just because you may be a tourist! Enjoy!
  • The walking street is a geat street to spent some time at the night. Day time is nothing like the night , so you must try it at least once in the day and once in the night.
