Visit The Sanctuary Of Truth, an atmospheric, intricately carved Buddhist temple. Started in 1981 and still under construction, the wooden place of worship features ornate images, reliefs, and statues. With an intensive attention to detail and a sensitive balancing of contemporary aesthetics and traditional architecture, there's plenty to appreciate about this work in progress--so don't let its completion date of 2050 put you off. Was a wonderful experience seeing the beautiful creations and sculptures. Upon the entrance there are a few animal feeding and elephant/horse back riding. I went on the boat ride and was quite relaxing. Approximately 10-15 minutes on the boat and included a young coconut. It was refreshing on a hot day and there are abundance of fishes in the pond that you could feed with the coconut meat. There is also a traditional Thai dance show (12/3:30pm).
Find Your Truth About Life The sanctuary was started to built at 1981 and still under construction. Its one of the largest wood building in the world. The motto behind construction was really inspiring. its not just a photo spot. Its more about Our life n truth of existence. Feel it, Listen to the words they say. Worth to visit.
A great experience. Kudos to the founder, who conceptualized the sanctuary. A must see for all tourists. A genuine approach to teach our young generation, who are getting influenced by Western culture, our heritage, our culture and our values. The sculptures are beautifully made with wood with Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese and of course Thai influence. Work had started in 1981 and is still going on. As an Indian could relate to the concept and felt proud.
Wonderful and beautiful place built with an amazing spirit! The work that people have done there is breathtaking! Why the 1-star rating? Elephant treatment! I don't understand how on one hand you can talk about being kind and on another abuse animals. Read up before you go. The animals have cut ears, which means they were trained improperly. They walk around with way to heavy equipment on their back. During our trip, we saw one run away which was pretty scary. I'd rather pay more than see this is such a place.
Awesome temple made of wood. This place has many activities and a great view to the sea. It's a tourist attraction so prince for foreign travelers is bigger but still worth a visit. The wood carvings are really artistic and beautiful. Has also restaurants and coffee shops to get so snacks. Many animals.
