Wat Suwan Khiriwong, Patong

Categories: Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web
Enjoy some peace and quiet in the middle of busy central Patong at Wat Suwan Khiriwong. Serpent sculptures lining the stairways lead you to the temple complex, which includes a main chapel, pagoda, and monastery hall. Inside you'll find ornate decorations, wax statues of monks, and golden statues of Buddha. The temple is frequented by locals and tourists alike, and you might get the opportunity to witness some of the local customs, such as the lighting of crackers in the fire pit. Out of respect for these customs, ensure your clothes cover up your shoulders and knees. Plan your visit to Wat Suwan Khiriwong and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Patong trip builder.

  • This is the only place in my knowledge of true worship to Patong.les people bring offerings, we realize the recollection of the population in this very religious place which contrasts with Bangla road and the activity of the streets nearby. Essential to visit with respect!

  • If you like Thai temples, go for it! Cover your legs and no noise. Otherwise the temples are magnificent.

  • I like these temples, so I give this one 5 stars, because I think the low ratings are not ok. :)
