Beach
Relax in a secluded and peaceful environment at Freedom Beach. Accessible by long-tail boat, this spot benefits from shallow water with fantastic visibility, ideal for spotting the area's colorful marine life and snapping a few pictures. Play beach soccer against the locals, or head up to one of the pleasant bars that overlook the beach. The location remains one of the relatively few tranquil beaches around Phuket, so head here for a little peace and quiet (and remember to keep it a secret). • A beautiful quiet beach, very clean in comparison to Patong. However I noticed a monkey was inhumanely kept, chained by its neck and there should be signs that people who are not fit enough to do the journey should not go because it is quite a trek up and down the stairs through the mud. Top tip: take appropriate footwear (comfortable flip flops or trainers if you do not mind them getting dirty and water for the journey back to the top is approximately a 5 minute walk)
  • One of the best hidden beaches in Phuket. Its not easy to get to but well worth the trek. Ways to get here; 1- You can pay upwards of 1000baht to get a boatman to ferry you from Karon beach (you'll see them all over the beach. Best to haggle but keep in mind that the rate is based on X of people, so it doesn't necessarily go down with more people). 2- Get a driver to drop you off along the main road near the beach and hike up. Its a bit of a work out up, about 20 minutes. About 3/4 of the way up you'll see a gate with a 200baht charge (per person) to enter the beach path. Coming down to the beach is a bit more challenging as its very rocky and slippery. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and not slippers. Also bring water. 3- Take the road further to the north near Sizzle Rooftop. Less treacherous but its a longer walk.
  • The best beach in Phuket I've ever been. Not crowded, great sand-sea, amazing sunset, There are two option to get there. Easy one is boat from Patong beach. Second one is a kind of small journey from very very natural way from land.
  • Be warned, if you're coming down the footpath it is perilous! However, it's worth the journey. This beach is the best I've ever been to. The sand is golden, the water is clear and the beach is quiet. Well worth the 200 baht fee, as it is a private beach. The beachside restaurant was pretty good too. Worth a visit if you're in Phuket.
  • Freedom Beach is a hidden gem. Not a lot of people know about it and it can be quite tricky to get there. Lots of trails from the park entrance, that you have to pay to get into, or by boats from Patong Beach. Either way you have to pay to get there, but let me tell you it's worth it. Nice little bungalow type area (you also have to pay to sit in the shade), and a place to get snacks, drinks and food. The food takes a while so you have to order ahead of time. This beach doesn't get as packed as a lot of the other beaches for sure, but it's so pretty and the water is so clear that it is worth the trip.
