  • What an amazing place. This really is a sanctuary. They tell you about the elephants they have rescued, you feed them and wash them. The hosts were excellent and very amusing, love Mr Chang and the food was lovely. Best day of our trip and our children didn't want to leave. You won't ever want to go to an elephant show after visiting this place. Elephants are free to roam and seem very happy there. Would highly recommend.
  • This was the greatest experience! I chose the walk with elephants tour and got to spend the day learning all about the sanctuary, elephants (I got to help bathe, clean, and feed them!!) and getting to know my guide Annie. Annie was AMAZING, she is so personable--Annie clearly loves these elephants and taking care of them. The elephants also clearly love her back! I was so impressed by the sanctuary, it's rescue and rehabilitation efforts, and learning how elephant poo can be made into paper blew my mind! Cannot recommend this sanctuary enough, if you love elephants or animals in general book a tour knowing your money is going to a great cause, an ethical sanctuary, and good people.
  • We very much enjoyed our visit to the elephant jungle sanctuary. They picked us up and got things started promptly. It is a place for domesticated elephants to have a peaceful life. We fed the elephants, muddied the elephants and washed them off. They seemed to enjoy it. They also had a photographer take good pictures and sent us a link to retrieve them later (for free). We enjoyed it a lot. Our 3 yr old was a bit scared and they handled that very well. Lunch was tasty also.
  • First off, a huge thank you to our awesome guide for keeping our group well informed, and keeping a watchful eye so none of us got stepped on. She really made the experience enjoyable. Now onto the elephants! Keep in mind a lot of the elephants are older than you, so respect your elders. We opted for the Feed and Shower program which ran for an hour and a half, but is filled with great interaction time with the elephants depending on the group size. The elephants themselves looked like they were thriving, and greatly cared for.
  • So many elephants! Like at least 6-8 in one area. I appreciated the guides with all their knowledge on the elephants. They truly care for the elephants--like giving frequent physical exams to ensure good health, dietary supplements, etc. Started with general introductory information on how the elephants got to the rescue, we made dietary supplements, and fed the elephants pineapple/ bananas. One of the elephants had a bowel movement and the staff encouraged an adolescent to pick it up with a scooper to discard ahah putting them to work! We then gave them the supplement and went on with the mud bath. They gave enough time to fully savor the experience.. staff helped filling bowls of mud and ensured that everyone was safe with the elephants. After the elephants were muddy enough we walked over to the area where we washed and scrubbed them with brushes. The elephants were so kind and just sat on their knees so we can reach every spot. A final rinse with hose water after, and then we all showered in the bathrooms to remove all dirt. Lunch provided was great. There was a cooking demonstration which was nice. I also appreciate the cameraman who at the end shared all his shots and videos of all guests who participate throughout the day, no extra charge. The whole experience is once in a lifetime! Thank you, Elephant Jungle Sanctuary!
