Banzaan Fresh Market, Patong
(3.8/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
Located just behind a large shopping mall, Banzaan Fresh Market serves as an easy-to-find spot to buy fruit, vegetables, fish, and even candy. The clean set-up makes it simple to navigate and browse for the best selections. Don't be afraid to pick out something a bit strange-looking, like dragon fruit--the taste is not as strong as you'd think. The ground floor hosts all fresh food stalls, and if that has you salivating, head upstairs to the food court. At night, streets surrounding the market fill with food and drink carts. By using our Patong tour planner, you can arrange your visit to Banzaan Fresh Market and other attractions in Patong.

Last night for 1 lobster de1kilo (1000bath) + shrimp + 2 royals 6 cicadas of seas and 1 serving of nodule + 2grandes chang beer it has cost 2350 bath. go, whether for lunch or in the evening. And especially haggle don't hesitate to go to the next. Beware you will eat like a local. Good appetite

  • A real Thai style fresh market in the middle of, or almost in the middle of Patong. I have visited markets all over Thailand and Banzaan Fresh Market, is what you can call "your local Thai Market" You can get everything in fruit and vegetables there is available in Phuket, and other southern provinces. There is also products from Chiang Mai in the north of Thailand, and there are some import from Malaysia and China. As there is almost no local production or the production there is on Phuket is not sufficient to feed all the Tourist, most of the products are importet from other provinces. And almost all of the products are distibutet from mainfresh market on Phuket "Phuket Down Town Market in Phuket town. There is a large section with fresh fish and seafood, many of the fish seafood is kept in tanks and alive. The meat section is more challenging for westerners as the meat is not refrigerated. But I buy my meat at the local markets all the time and have no problems with it, just remember to cook your meat so it is well done. The prices are more cheap than the supermarkets
  • A great fresh market with excellent fresh products and in a very convenient location behind the huge Jungceylon shopping mall. The fruit displays are fantastic. Some might say prices are higher than in local markets but Banzaan is cleaner and items and displays are of a higher quality overall
  • Really cool to see and get cheap good here. The seafood is so fresh and the coconuts are cheapest here I found. A good market for food opens up at night which has great food if your on a travel budget and it is filling.
  • For seafood lover, this is the best place to buy variable live seafood, such as lobster, clams, oysters, Mantis prawns, etc. It is also reasonably priced , cheapest in the area I seen. Also there is a place upstairs for your purchases to be cooked. Only issue is that you have to pick a chef from one of the stalls. Cooking prices is variable between 150 to 200 bahts per half kg of of seafood, though you can barter a bit if you have a lot for the chef to cook. I thought a great chef with experience would be someone older. I was wrong, the dishes cooked were average and they were salty. Most of the seafood were overcooked as well. However, it was a great experience!
  • If u wanna go holiday in patong,u must to try food from banzaan, everything so good here,u can find anything u want so cheap, close from everywhere,,,they selling everything, not only food, its reacomend
