  • Personal regret for not allocating time to do it ,those with weak knees should not attempt. They provide rest stop along the way so should not be a problem for those with kids.  more »

  • On the side road of going to bangkok from korat. Drive by photo requires emergency stop at a pit stop area with a small view. Otherwise it requires walking up a huge stairway.
  • Good place to explore. There is no elevator you have to walk.
  • Quite demanding but the view is worth it. 618 steps of stairs from the bottom to the top if you follow the right side. You will be able to see some peacocks, peahens, some squirrel too.
  • You need to figure out how you're going to catch your return bus before heading here. We were told by the bus station to just "Flag down a bus on the highway"...which sounded sketchy. So I asked a merchant at the temple how to get the bus and she said the same thing. Still the wrong info. Some people said there is a bus terminal in town, some say you can get a bus to stop at the farmer's market right across the street from the end of the road that leads to the statue. But we were just lucky to hitch a ride on a VIP bus that stopped at the farmer's market. The statue itself is epic. You should definitely visit.
  • Good exercise ,worthy for the view.
