  • For me the best Winery in Thailand! Wines are allowing many a European wine in terms of quality and taste. Priced rather oberklassig but what you get for it is worth. The winery itself is located on the edge of the Khao Yai National Park in the Asoke Valley and is from Bangkok in about 90 minutes to reach.

  • Love your "GranMonte Viognier". The very best white I ever tasted. Great balance on everything!!!
  • Great wines and good food at the restaurant. Owners Khun Sakuna and Khun Visut hosted us very nicely.
  • Authentic Central Thailand Cuisine with quality wines, impeccable ambiance, and great service.
  • Best winery in Thai. No matter what.
  • Wine in Thailand? I had no idea, yet, just a few days after a chance discussion with a friend, we found ourselves booking a flight to Bangkok, hoping to visit the GranMonte Winery, about two hours north of the city. I have spent hundreds of hours in wineries and vineyards, often Bordeaux First Growths, but I wasn't prepared for Thai wine experience. This is a country where tourism is taken very seriously, but the welcome, even in Bangkok, is sincere. Out of the city, one feels like a visiting relative they haven't seen for a long time. We toured the vineyards and winery with Thailand's first (and I believe only) female winemaker whose excellent English and knowledge was a pleasure to behold. The Lohitnavy family members we met are charming, and I saw that all visitors were treated well by them and all of the employees. This is an absolute must visit for anyone interested in good food, wine and a stay at the guesthouse.
